[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sleep aid. Being pre-menopausal, sometimes it is difficult to fall asleep. The warming liquid is very calming and soothing and it made me feel drowsy. Listen about 15 minutes. I slept the night and felt refreshed the next morning. Other sleep aids give me.a “hangover”, but not this one. Very satisfied!

This works well, but it is the exact same ingredient as Benedryl. I prefer to take 50mg of Benedryl caplets and not have to deal with the taste of the liquid,... but that's just me. Plus, I can get #600 25mg caplets of diphenhydramine from ebay for $8-$9.00.

I love that I can just measure out the recommended dosage and take it right before bed. I felt refreshed the next morning and I was able to sleep the whole night through. Great product.

The DayQuil and the NyQuil are absolutely perfect for calming so many symptoms- decongestant, pain/fever relief, cough suppressant. It works wonders. It's great that you can take the DayQuil and still be productive and get stuff done (as a Mom, I don't have any other choice) and then you can take the NyQuil and get the rest that your body needs to heal. My favorite part is that you can buy this as an all-in-one solution when you are sick.

I have this in my cabinet on days where I do have trouble sleeping and I need to get up early the next day. I take a full capful about 30mins - 1hr before I plan to sleep and it works instantly. I take it and lay in bed and my eyelids get heavier and heavier. I don't ever recall falling asleep and sleep throughout the night. I wake up with no grogginess. You just have to time it correctly and take the ZzzQuil and have about 6-8 hour sleep without feeling grogginess. Amazing product!

The active ingredient is Diphenhydramine HCl, the antihistamine found in Benedryl. So it's great for allergies and knocks you out as promised. However, this 354 mL bottle costs almost $8. You can buy the Equate version of Benedryl (100 tablets) for $4 and you'll get over FOUR TIMES the amount of uses from it. The bottle holds about 24 25mg doses, whereas each tablet of Benedryl is 25mg of the same drug. That's makes liquid Zzzquil eight times more expensive than it needs to be. Granted, there are differences in how quickly it takes effect between liquid and tablet, but nothing a little foresight can't fix.

My wife and I both suffer from chronic pain that affects our sleep at times. Both of us have at times resorted to using nighttime cough syrup to help us sleep and stay asleep through the night. The problem we have with using cough syrup like this is there are ingredients for cold and flu relief that we don?t need when we aren?t sick. We were happy when we came across Vicks ZzzQuil Nighttime Pain Relief Sleep Aid Liquid because it gives is the sleep and pain relief affects that we get from nighttime cough syrup without all the unnecessary cold and flu relief ingredients. Both of us like that we can get a full nights sleep without any grogginess the next day. We also like that this is a non-habit-forming method of sleep aid. I really wanted this to work, me and one other person tried it together. We did sleep, but it made us feel weird. I personally got blurred vision and felt really off. I couldn't fall asleep for a while because I felt so weird. But when I did sleep I can say that I had no problems there I slept like normal. Maybe it is just me, maybe it is not right for me. But it is worth at least trying it if you really have trouble falling asleep, because you never know it might work perfectly for you. But I wanted to leave an honest review. Just didn't work for me.
