Working in the Dental field has brought me to experiment with many different types of dental products including toothpaste. Sensodyne was introduced to me at an ADA conference in Texas and so I decided to give it a shot. I didn’t necessarily have very much I wanted to repair but I wanted to make sure my breath was fresh, my teeth cavity free & of course I would like a better & brighter smile. On my first try I didn’t feel too much of a difference from the regular Crest & Colgate brand but almost immediately I could no longer taste the freshness. I know it’s typically not gonna last (the freshness) longer than 2-3 hours but it was immediately gone. Like how??? Now because of this I attempted to try it again the next day but increased my brushing time from 4 mins to 6 mins. — I know this sounds crazy, but hear me out, I work for a dentist so the longer my brushing sesh is the better— but still the freshness was gone almost immediately. I tried for the next two weeks and it was still the same outcome everyday. So I just decided to throw this out and never use it again. If you’re looking for tooth repair I’d say definitely use this, but If you’re looking for whitening I’d say to stick with Crest & Colgate.

There is no abrasive grit to any of the Sensodyne toothpastes. The mint flavor is my favorite. The average tube lasts me a month brushing twice daily. I do notice a difference honestly with the “whitening” Sensodyne only if you are using regularly & ongoing. I have some sensitivity issues with regular toothpastes but not with using Sensodyne.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Senspodyne rapid relief mint flavor worked great! It has taken my cold sensitivity away within just a few days of using! I would definitely recommend to anyone suffering from teeth sensitivity from hot and cold foods.

This is the only toothpaste that helps with my sensitive teeth. I am primarily concerned with sensitivity to cold and this stuff actually helps!!! If I don’t use it for a couple of days, I really notice the sensitivity in my teeth get worse. I also don’t mind a paste like consistency rather than a gel like consistency. The flavor is also fine and doesn’t have a weird aftertaste like some other toothpastes. Love/need this product!!!

The only thing beneficial I got out of using this was that this toothpaste didn’t irritate my teeth. That being said, this product caused me to lose the ability to taste any food until I stopped using it. I guess it’s formula is made to be so un-irritating that it made my sense of taste disappear.

I’ve been using sensodyne for a while because I have really sensitive teeth. Sometimes it hurts so much I have to stop brushing and rinse it off because I have this piercing pain. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt at all. So this toothpaste is somewhat effective?

I’ve used Sensodyne since I was 13 and I’ve been hooked ever since. My teeth always feel fresh and clean and this toothpaste helps whiten my teeth and they look great! It’s definitely a little more pricey than some other toothpastes but it’s totally worth it.

This is the best toothpaste for sensitivity issues! I grind my teeth at night and even though I wear a night guard, they can be extremely sensitive.  My dentist recommended this toothpaste and it works!  It's well priced considering how good it works and I would recommend this brand to anyone with sensitive teeth.

Oh how I love me some Sensodyne.. It works wonders for those who have temperature sensitivities(and/or a sweet tooth.) It keeps your enamel in check as well as prevents cavities. Your teeth just feel cleaner and stronger after using it. I learned an awesome tip from my dental hygienist and have been doing it since.

I’m sure that this does well at protecting but it simply does not taste good enough for me to want to use it every single day. That’s a huge deal to me is taste. I didn’t see dramatic difference in it whitening my teeth which is the main reason I purchased.
