It doesnt have the strong scent that most arthritis creams have and its very creamy and smooth to absorb into the skin where your pain exists. It comes in a small tube which is very convenient to carry with you and use as little or as much as you need.

It worked as far as my pain, but just for a short time. It didn't irritate my skin or anything, it was just like rubbing lotion. Votaren seldom provides instant relief, but if use according to directions the pain reduction is gradual, but then you suddenly stop using it, you will find out how much good it will do you. Not a great med for those seeking instant relief or who have trouble using meds on a consistent frequent basis. I love it but it may not work well for everyone.

Add a prescribed amount for the area. It is being used a massage in until it is absorbed. Make sure to wash your hands really well after you are finished. It doesn’t work right away. It’s something that you have to use overtime and it will start to help with your pain. It does work stick with it!
