Voltaren stepped up to the plate, and within a few days, my aches were feeling less bothersome. If you are allergic to aspirin or cannot use it, DO NOT try this as the active ingredient is diclofenac sodium, an NSAID anti-inflammatory. This formula is exclusively for use on wrists, elbows, ankles, hands, and feet. The box even has a handy guide for how large of an application area you should put on an upper or lower body part. The cream says it can take up to 7 days to work, but I noticed some relief in the first day. It also says do not use for over 21 days, I'm guessing due to the active ingredient. The gel goes a long way, so only squeeze out a little until you know how much you'll need. I had excess every time. My stubborn husband tried it to appease me, not expecting it to work, and it worked beautifully on his painful ankle and had him saying, "Oh, dang." This will be a repurchase for us.

Don’t get me wrong you can still smell it, just not nearly aggressive as others. I found the squeeze tube to be very useful, easy to open, little risk of spilling. I have found other similar products to last a bit longer and better though.

From the very specific directions to the dosing card to the flip-top cap, this product is foolproof. The scent is strong upon applying but dissipates quickly. Because it is a gel, it absorbs very well into your skin. It is important to note that Voltaren is not for immediate relief, but after consistent use for the past week, I have noticed a considerable decrease in my knee pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My father suffers from arthritis pain in his feet, he applied it on and says it gives him some relief within 1hr and says they’re aren’t as stiff and he can move them much more, cream goes on well and there is a certain amount you need to apply and the instructions make it clear so you don’t over do it so that’s good (Dosage card), there doesn’t seem to be any scent. It says gel on the box but feels more like a cream to us. I absolutely love the size on this tube as it will last a while and the flip top is a nice design so my father doesn’t lose the cap.

I don’t like to keep the packaging, because it’s bulky. I think that’s inconvenient. Absorbs fine. Scent is actually not bad.
