[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel is wonderful. You didn't used to be able to purchase it over the counter. I'm so glad you can now. It's a gel format and goes on evenly and it's not greasy or sticky. It's immediately absorbed and goes to work relieving your pain. It doesn't sting or burn, and there is no odor. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and how well it works on my pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from Influenster and Coltrane voltaren for testing purposes. This cream helped alleviate my partners arthritis in his hands. It did take a few applications for him to really feel relief but he said the next day his hand didn’t ache as it typically does after a day of work. It has a slight rubbing alcohol sent but it dissipates rather quickly. Because of it containing NSAIDS you aren’t supposed to drink while using this product and only apply as directed to avoid liver damage. I would recommend this product for occasional arthritis relief but would not recommend if you are looking for an everyday relief.

I got this wanting to use it on my shoulder, but the box specifically states where you can and can’t use it, and my shoulder is a no no. So I tried it on my thumb because that has really been acting up lately. The instructions say to use it up to four times a day. And it could take up to a week to feel any results, but don’t use it longer than that if there are no results. The first time I used it I was very surprised how much they want you to use. I measured out my dose with the supplied dosing card, and tried to rub it all in. I couldn’t. There was just too much. So I wiped the excess away with a paper towel. The second thing that surprised me was how strong the smell is. If you use this, you smell like medicine, no way around it. I thought it might lessen after I rubbed it in, but it didn’t. The strong smell bothered me so much I couldn’t give it the time they want me to in order to see if it works, because the first dose did nothing. If it was my foot, I would have given it more chances, but I can handle the pain in my thumb more than the way this made my hand smell.

While it is a topical cream, unlike an icy-hot/tiger balm, it's not just numbing the skin but providing a more ibuprofen like effect, directly to the target area. I highly recommend!
