It doesn't have a strong scent that makes your eyes water, nor does it sting and make you want to take it off which is great for effective results. The thing about it is the result aren't instant. It actually does take a few days to really see a constant reduction of pain. I used it on my foot and it did help. It's a small tube and the gel is so light weight you have to be careful because you won't think it's enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I do think this product works for joint pain and it applies easily and isn't great but I didn't rate it five stars because I have some concerns and issues with it. First I wish it worked for shoulders because that's honestly where I needed it the most but I have ankle issues as well so no problem. Opening it took way more effort than it should have. I realize it's a medicated ointment and I can appreciate that they need to keep it secure but this is medication for arthritic people and it was impossible for me to open without a tool and I don't even have arthritic hands. I think that is a design flaw to say the least. The product also requires a very specific amount of medication which I found difficult to determine if I was putting on the right amount. The other issue I have is the fact that you have to apply it four times a day honestly it's kind of inconvenient to try to remember four times a day. This also means I have to actually keep it in my purse instead of on a counter somewhere so I can make sure I'm applying it four times a day. Lastly there are a lot of warnings on here which is a little bit concerning if I'm being completely honest. There's a liver warning a stomach bleeding warning and a heart attack and stroke warning. I'm sure oral arthritis medications have the same warnings but I honestly just didn't expect it from a topical and it makes me nervous to use it because I would rather have an uncomfortable ankle than a heart attack or stroke personally. This is especially concerning for me given the aforementioned dosage issues and number of times a day it needs to be applied. Do I think it works, yeah I do. Do I think the benefits outweigh the risks at this point in time for me, no, but that of course is a personal decision everyone has to make based on their pain level - mine's tolerable.

I think this is a truly useful product to have in a home medicine cabinet, especially if you experience joint pain. Unfortunately, wrist pain is a common issue for me and my spouse, so we have already tested Voltaren — and to my surprise, it really works. The gel has a white-transparent formula that spreads easily on the skin. It absorbs quickly, leaves no residue, just light pleasant smell, and doesn’t create any sensations on the skin, just a slight feeling of tightness after it dries, like with any regular gel. I would also like to highlight the very detailed instructions provided by the manufacturer, along with the dosing card that helps you determine the appropriate amount needed for different parts of the body. And yes, it significantly reduces pain. I also like that it can be applied several times a day (up to four times), which really helps on tough days. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who deals with joint pain.
