Recently needed to begin using an allergy med occasionally per my dermatologist. I wasn't sure which brand but after reading a few online comparisons I chose Zyrtec. The small size is convenient to take each morning I found a great deal at my local CVS using a 40% off coupon. Seems to work quickly without at side effects. I have since purchased the travel packs and added them to my luggage set.

I have been taking Zyrtec almost exclusively since 2007 (initially by prescription until it became OTC). Short story: Zyrtec has been a life saver for me - it was my then allergy dr's last ditch recommendation for relief from very severe, year round allergies - basically if Zyrtec didn't work, I would no doubt have to begin an injectable treatment. It worked. That is, until I opened my last package just over 2 weeks ago. Since then, my allergies have come roaring back with a vengeance. After research, I appear to be suffering from a form of cetirizine withdrawal - but how can that be, I ask, as I have been FAITHFULLY taking my Zyrtec every day (literally since 2007). Is it possible to have received a bad batch??? Please, please help - I want it to work again to stop the suffering but I am losing trust in the product. Have only rated it a 3 due to current circumstances - prior to that, I would have rated it with a shining 5 star review.

I dont have asthma Im 62 years young but had developed severe wheezing that lasted over 5 weeks in the month of November I kept going back to the doctors office and ran some test she recommended zyrtec I was reluctant to try it the first day I started feeling sleepy at 7pm at night did not like that so stopped it just after one pill later that week wheezing was so bad that I got desperate to try anything and gave it a go again after about 48 hours the wheezing finally dissipated but there was a big trade off my coordination and vision was effected and I was dropping things in the kitchen and in the fringe it was very strange I also became very agitated because I never drop anything especially in the kitchen but I am happy the wheezing has stopped. I hope it was just a seasonal thing it also good to know you can buy Zyrtec over the counter if needed . KJW NYC

My doctor suggested these as a way to help the symptoms of my seasonal allergies without a feeling of drowsiness. The first time I took one I thought “is this how normal people breath?!” The relief was SO welcome and the results were immediate. The more I took it however the more I noticed complete exhaustion on my end. I know my dr said they didn’t cause drowsiness but if I take one for any reason at this point I’m tired to a point of nonfunctional. It may just be me, I do tend to be sensitive to medications, so take that with a grain of salt. For the price and the results if you a person who doesn’t experience issues with side effects this is 100% worth it.

This is the ONLY one that works for my husband and I and we’ve tried them all. Instant relief. We take it as soon as our symptoms start and as a preventative measure when tree pollen is high. Highly recommend it to everyone we know that are affected by allergies.

I have allergies all year. I take a zyrtec every morning and it helps so much with my sneezing and watery eyes. I've tried other brands but always have gone back to Zyrtec because of its effectiveness. Only down side is that if I forget to take it for a day or two I get really itchy.

Hello everyone. This Zyrtec Original Prescription Strength works wonders. The pros to me is that they are quite expensive for only 5 per box, and I think there should be a price reduction, however I still buy them because they works so well. I would recommend them to those that have indoor and outdoor Allergies.

My husband and I both suffer from allergies especially around pollen season. We tried a few different tablets but these were the best. You notice the difference within a few minutes and they don't make you drowsy at all, which is great because I use them during work. We always make sure we have at least 2 bottles of Zyrtec in the house.

I have taken this each fall for years. I usually begin it when I have a 2-week window to adjust to it. It causes me to sleep hard at night, and have a hungover feeling for almost 2 weeks. After that, I have no side effects. I tried Claritin before trying this medication, with no improvement.

Sure, Zyrtec works great to stop allergies. But after long-term use, getting off of it is a nightmare. I've experienced days and days of intense itching, despite weaning off from Zyrtec slowly. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this med. I wouldn't wish this painful discomfort and itching on my worst enemy.
