I have taken almost everything for allergies since I was a young child and nothing has worked for my Summer allergies better than Zyrtec once a day. It is the first allergy medication I have ever used that gives me complete relief without side effects. During the Winter months I can get by with a less expensive medication because my allergies aren't quite as bad and because I have been told to switch medications so I don't become resistant to it and it will continue to work. I have had side effects from a lot of different medications, including Psudoefedrine, but not from Zyrtec. I just wish it weren't so expensive.

I’ve taken Zyrtec as needed for several years and it has always seemed effective. This pst summer when my seasonal allergies were extremely exacerbated by pregnancy I started taking it daily. Once the winter hit and I was close to delivery I decided to stop taking it. After about 48 hours I started getting unbearable itching all over my body that felt as though it was coming from within. I spoke with my OB and primary care physician who both said to “just keep taking it” but I’ve never experienced itching like this due to allergies. I’ve also been allergy tested and all my allergies are outdoor/seasonal stuff. After some research I learned about Zyrtec withdrawal and my symptoms are exactly the same as thousands of others! I will definitely never take this medication long term again and am just praying I can get through this period of intense withdrawal itching!

This product works alright, But never once do they tell you of the insane itch of trying to stop taking it. Even my doctors were baffled, only anecdotal accounts of other users, and one study in the netherlands. Don't take this unless you are in dire circumstances.

I live in Texas. I have suffered with a winter allergy for years. I have used everything but nothing helped. Finally my doctor gave me a nasal spray prescription and said to get some Zyrtec while I was waiting on the prescription. I did what he said. Within the hour I felt better than I had in months. Now I have my Zyrtec on hand and from mid September through late January I take one in the morning and I go all day.

Cetirizine is the only allergy medicine that has worked consistently for me and I mean ACTUALLY works. For the longest time when I was younger, I took Claritin, but eventually it just didn't seem to help a lot. I have had issues with seasonal allergies for awhile, but Cetirizine is truly where it's at. I even can take it right when I'm starting to feel a bit itchy or stuffy and it helps pretty much instantly. 

First, I want to say that I'm sure, as with all drugs, not everyone experiences negative side effects. I'm sorry those that have are suffering. I took Zyrtec for 20+ years, stopped for a year and the only result was a runny nose from sinus drainage. I have recently started it again with the same great results as before.

In the springtime and the autumn, I take these Zyrtec Tablets. (In the off seasons, I take when needed.) Besides seasonal allergies, I also suffer from Chronic Rhinitis. These tablets help tremendously. I have virtually no side effects. They are amazing!

I don't know what I would do without Zyrtek. I am allergic to garlic, which is in EVERYTHING! Going out to dinner has been impossible until my doctor prescribed Zyrtek (in combination with a specific antacid) to combat the hives, wheezing and other symptoms. So in those all too frequent circumstances when I have a reaction, I can count on Zyrtek to act quickly and effectively in minimizing the symptoms.

I use this on a daily basis due to a chronic hives condition. Thanks to this product I'm able to keep the hives down to just one or two small breakouts per day and the itch isn't bad at all (sometimes no itch). Before using this I was broken out from head to toe and itching to the point of wanting to rip my skin off.

My daughter and I have extremely bad allergies. We had prescription medication and I once forgot when out of town and bought zyrtec. It worked just as well. Soon after our prescription was no longer offered and I knew exactly what we would be taking. We have been taking it for years since and wouldn't take anything else.
