Zyrtec works great for about 8 hours. Takes about 30 minutes to start working. It sure doesn’t last 24 hours like it advertises. I’m lucky if it actually lasts a full 8 hours. Disappointed it doesn’t last longer. It relieve most of my allergy symptoms when it does work.

I was actively using zyrtec everyday for about a year. It helped with my allergies as I went months without getting my usual sinus infection. However, just went for my usual cleaning and checkup at the dentist today to find I have 6 cavities in between my teeth. I have never had a single cavity before and was told from the looks my hygiene was perfect. After the routine x-rays the dentist found the cavities and asked if I take allergy medicine and I told him zyrtec. He said yep that is it, as it dries up the mouth which cause tooth decay. Will NEVER take this again.

I have used Zyrtec for years and worked well until it stopped being effective. I had to go off it once before to have the allergy pin prick test and had the WORSE ITCHING IMAGINABLE IN MY HANDS. Wanted to scratch all the skin off. Once the test was done I took a ZYRTEC and it stopped. Zyrtec then eventually stopped being effective for me and went off to switch to Allegra and again HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WITHDRAWL SYMTOMS. INSOMNIA FOR DAYS!! INTOLERABLE ITCHING. If you search the web you find LOTS of stories about withdrawal. Zyrtec withdrawal should be PROMINENTLY included in product literature and giving as a warning by doctors.

I want to say that this product far exceeds the Claritin product for allowing a person to function normally while taking this medicine. It time and time again far exceeds my expectation for controlling my allergy symptoms, so I would like to recommend this product to those people out there who have trouble managing their allergy symptoms without the aid of some form of medicine.

My doctor suggested I try Zyrtec because my current OTC isn't working very well. My daughter suggested I take them at night, but I was sluggish during the day. Zyrtec works but I can't stand the odd feeling I get when I take them. I wish they would come out with a non drowsy formula.

Zyrtec makes my life so much better. I take Zyrtec and can breath and sleep so much better. My allergies were awful before I tried Zyrtec. I had a bad allergy attack and my allergist told me to take it and from that point on my life vastly improved. Sweet dreams and good sleep is now possible because of Zyrtec.

I've tried every other allergy medication on the market, and as a health care provider I know that generics are technically equivalent to the namebrand but I still come back to Zyrtec tabs for real relief every allergy season. There's nothing like them when it comes to rose fever and hayfever season for me!

My husband and I have bad allergies, to almost everything, and we take Zyrtec everyday to be able to function throughout the day. We are able to breath normally, our eyes aren't watery or itchy, and we aren't constantly sneezing! We can definitely tell the difference if we haven't taken it because we have all those symptoms but as soon as we take Zyrtec all the symptoms go away almost instantly!

My doctor suggested these as a way to help the symptoms of my seasonal allergies without a feeling of drowsiness. The first time I took one I thought “is this how normal people breath?!” The relief was SO welcome and the results were immediate. The more I took it however the more I noticed complete exhaustion on my end. I know my dr said they didn’t cause drowsiness but if I take one for any reason at this point I’m tired to a point of nonfunctional. It may just be me, I do tend to be sensitive to medications, so take that with a grain of salt. For the price and the results if you a person who doesn’t experience issues with side effects this is 100% worth it.

unfortunately PEG's have been added to this product - after 7 years, I can no longer tolerate this med. Allergy to PEG/petroleum etc -caused bad reaction. Switching to another brand without the long list of additives. Guess cost effectiveness overrides good medicine.
