I am now buying these at Sam's because it is cheaper. However, you cannot beat this product. The Old Fashioned Quaker Oats is so much superior to quick oats and is definitely heads and tails above any other brand in quality. No powder, no broken flakes, consistently good.

I've purchased the old fashioned oats a few times now and I love them. At first I was skeptical of the price for the size. Wow! You get A LOT of oats for your money! The box is quite heavy. I will definitely continue to buy them. They are high quality, great tasting and affordable.

I love the oatmeal. The reason for the 4 rating as opposed to a 5 is due to the way it was packed for shipping. It came in the same box as a large box of Finish powerballs for the dishwasher. The oatmeal container was punctured right below the lid level. The box of Finish matched in height where the damage was. There was loose oatmeal in the packing box but not too much. I ordered quite a few items which came in multiple deliveries and everything else was packaged with care. The oatmeal was the only thing that didn't quite survive the trip. The outside of the box that everything was packed in wasn't damaged at all.

I use this large size Quaker Oats, Old Fashioned type for making granola bars, cookies, candies, etc. It's not just for breakfast, which I do enjoy with fruits or brown sugar and milk. It's definitely less costly in a larger size than smaller containers, and keeps for a long time on the shelf, too.

Anyone who's an oats lover knows this stuff can't be beat. Doesn't have to be the brand name, tho. Great Value is just as good -- just unavailable thru Walmart.com. Odd how when one orders Great Value oats, they always arrived smashed/blown up and all over the inside of the packing box. When you order Quaker, all is fine. Cannot fathom why that is.

As a child I didn't much care for oatmeal, but as an adult I love this for breakfast. As an adult I can cook them the way I like with raisins and cinnamon, or chopped dried apricots with a bit of honey, a chopped apple with cinnamon and brown sugar. Oatmeal is a healthy cereal and so adaptable to individual taste. They can be salt free, low fat, no sugar, and different flavors for everyday of the week. I grown to like a well cooked oatmeal with a creamy texture. Quaker does a good oatmeal that cooks quickly to a creamy texture, and doesn't have to be soaked overnight which is something my Mom did with the oats she used.

If you like oatmeal, this is the perfect choice. Easy to prepare, and fast too. Oats, water, a microwave and 4 minutes is all you need for the best oats. Great tasting with fruits and a little sweetener of your choice. Keeps you warm and full all morning long. It is also a healthy choice for breakfast, or even a snack. This is the best choice when it comes to Oatmeal. It is also a terrific value for the huge package of oats. 5 stars for quality, health, taste and value.

My hubby and I eat oatmeal at least 4 times a week. We have tried many different brands but we always come back to Quaker Oats. Takes 3 minutes in the microwave, the texture is chewy, never mushy. He adds dried berries and cinnamon, I add dried berries and peanut butter. Delicious and filling.

The container of oatmeal was damaged prior to shipment or was it tampered with? By the time I received my order, the container was open and the oatmeal was everywhere except in the container. It would of been nice if the individual would have inspected the container rather than shipping something that was damaged.

This brand of oats is my favorite, and I am always buying them Old Fashioned. It's high in fiber and low in sugars that is a big plus in my book. Easy to cook, I actually steep these oats much like you do with tea. Pour hot water over the oats just enough to cover, cover with a lid and leave well alone. Come back and my oats are ready to eat. Great tasting, I recommend Quaker Oats to anyone who wants to have a good hearty breakfast.
