Because it's minimally processed, I prefer Quaker Old Fashioned Oats over the instant, one-minute or flavored varieties - whether Quaker or any other brand. I grew up on Quaker oatmeal and it's still my "go to" for a hot breakfast that sticks to the ribs.

A classic for a

A classic for a reason, these old fashioned oats cook very well and work so well in everything from morning oatmeal to cookies and other baked goods. These old fashioned oats have no unnecessary additives, and clean simple ingredients that I can feel good about eating. A great source of healthy fiber.

Grew up on Quaker Oatmeal and still love it.

I grew up on Quaker Oatmeal and at 68 still love it! But I'm confused. It's very runny and I have to cook it 2 - 3 times longer than instructions state (I use the microwave). Also, it boils over no matter the size of bowl I use. Help what am I doing wrong all of the sudden? I want to enjoy me oatmeal again.

Wouldn't start my day without Quaker Oats!

We eat Quaker Oats, Old fashioned, almost every morning. Even if we eat breakfast out occasionally, I look forward to Quaker Oats the next morning. I call it Good Morning Oatmeal. I like the hardier taste of the old fashioned oats rather than the instant. I even love to spoon out the Quaker Oat goodness into my husband and my bowls in the morning. We feel good, too, about the health benefits of the nutritional value of Quaker Oats. We don't even get hungry again until several hours later.

So many choices!

I can't remember ever not loving Old Fashion Quaker Oats. Just as a cereal there is no limit to the possibilities. Some of my favorite food to mix in with my bowl of oatmeal are: mandarin oranges, apple sauce, walnuts, pecans; really any and all kinds of nuts, chocolate chips, banana bread, almond butter, peanut butter, jelly, jam, really any food you love. I like to bake and the most asked for recipe I make is "Mrs. Fields Cookies" (supposed to be the real recipe) and it has 5 cups of oatmeal and 4 cups of flour, so they must be healthier than any cookie I make (won't tell you there is also 24 ounces of chocolate chips).

I began eating  Quaker Oats Old Fashioned when everyone was talking about the overnight refrigerator oats, and now I eat them whenever I want a great snack. Hot or cold, with fruit or without, they are good. I also like to add a little  Aunt Jemima Lite Syrup  to them for some sweetness. Now I eat them a couple times a week and I love them.

I LOVE IT!

I have been eating Quaker Old Fashioned Oats my entire life, plain, made with low fat milk. It used to be hassle to keep stirring when made stove top but now with the microwave, it is so simple to make and always comes out smooth, not lumpy. I'm always in the mood for Oats for breakfast/lunch.

Something changed

The most recent package does not cook up the way previous ones did. After 6 minutes on the stove top on medium, the oats are still a little hard and have not fully absorbed the liquid. I see many other reviewers are having this issue as well. I hope this is a temporary issue and not a permanent change.

A good staple to

A good staple to have one hand. It is usually reasonably priced and easy to find. Great for overnight oats. These aren’t great if you’re concerned about pesticides because they aren’t organic. If you’re not worried about that then these are a great buy
