This is my kids' favorite Quaker Instant Oatmeal flavor. I enjoy the flavor, too, but sometimes I don't want that much 'sweet', so I mix in an envelope of the plain instant oatmeal. It works - not only because of the sweet factor, but because oftentimes I like a bit more for breakfast than what is offered in a single packet. That being said, if the flavor was less sweet, I might consider having it for a mid-afternoon or nighttime snack when I want a little something, but not a large serving.

I have been an oatmeal lover since I was a child. My mom use to make oatmeal with vanilla flavor and brown sugar on some Saturdays, and it was delicious. When I became an adult, and moved into my own home, Instant oatmeal stayed at the top of my shopping list. To this very day, at the age 49, I eat oatmeal everyday and Maple and Brown Sugar is my favorite flavor.

So I've been eating this oatmeal mixed w another brand fifty/fifty 1 pouch of each,well I tried 2 pouches if this and there is something wrong w it it doesn't thicken correctly,I use 2%milk,it's not creamy and it thickens up to a certain point then turns watery never had this problem before they changed ,they are gonna lose this business if they don't correct this cause 8m going to generic,it at least stays thick.qnd I eat it almost every day sometimes 2 x a day.

I have been buying and making Quaker Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal for over 15 years. We usually have quite a bit in stock in our kitchen and pantry, but recently had to buy a fresh supply. I told my wife she bought the wrong product, so we compared the old and new boxes but didn't find any differences. I came to the online website to see how we got the wrong product and discovered that Quaker had recently changed the formulation. I will be throwing out the remainder of my stock and start searching for another source. My grandkids always loved it when I made the "Best oatmeal in the world", now I wouldn't dare to offer them the current product. They wouldn't understand the difference between my fixing them the dish and what Quaker has done to their product.

This stuff tasted good but I smelled like maple syrup the rest of the day. It's like it excreted from my skin and urine. Idk what they put in this ..that they DONT list on the label but this was very concerning having the smell on me all day. Even my boyfriend when he kissed me 8hrs later said u smell likes syrup. And when I went pee I could smell it.

I used to buy this oatmeal all the time, but the most recent time both the flavor and the texture seemed to have changed. The oatmeal is much more bland and the texture is very gritty and grainy almost like it doesn't cook all the way. This new taste/texture is almost repulsive and I would much appriciate it if you returned to making it the same way you did once before.

I think they must have changed the "natural" flavors used to emulate brown sugar and maple syrup. It tastes okay, but the smell is overwhelming. It tooks a long wash to get the smell off of my fingers. It's still somewhere in my kitchen, 12 hours later. I've washed the bowl, wiped counters, cleaned my sink, and microwaved water with vinegar to try and get the smell out. It's disgusting. And the longer it lingers, the most I associate it with something unnatural.

As a young man my Mom fixed us Quaker Oatmeal. I was not very fond of it at that time. I was having some health problems and the Dr. recommended I try Oatmeal. I purchased the Maple/Brown Sugar instant version as I love Maple. The product is good by it self but I made it much better by adding some Quaker Granola with fruit prior to heating. It is delicious.

Quaker oatmeal has been my everyday breakfast since the 1950's. When Quaker introduced the "new" instant version years and years ago, I was delighted because it saved time in the morning. I recently purchased two boxes of six packages of your recently changed product and I'll not buy any more. It tastes more like sawdust than oatmeal. I guess I'll have to go back to boiling the water and cooking the oatmeal for five minutes (unless you screwed that up too). Please bring back the old version!

I'm very disappointed in the taste of my oat meal. I have grown up on this brand and it has been a while since eating Quaker oats. The taste was bad, it wasn't expiried or anything. Whatever you guys use to use please go back. Every thing doesn't have to be new and improved, espically if the taste is going to be bad...
