box instead of envelopes?

I would love to be able to get the Maple & Brown Sugar in a box like the old-fashioned oatmeal that could be measured out rather than the envelopes. Do you think this will ever be a possibility? I have cancer and eat this every morning but eat two packets instead of one as it is hard to find things I can eat. The packets can get rather expensive on my disability income.

What is the horrific bleach smell

Oats are supposed to have an earthy smell depending on what flavor you get but there's a smell when you microwave them or when you cook them that has this bleachy odor and this is the fourth box I bought that smell like that. I'm beginning to think this is just a new product and it's scaring me I don't want to eat a product that smell like this what did you do to it?

Just Sickening

I always looked forward to the winter and starting the day with a hot bowl of maple & brown sugar oatmeal but those days are gone. I actually get sick to my stomach after eating that sickening mess...you can't be making money on this product it is just awful...discontinue it all together as far as I'm concerned...yuck. I just threw-up a little in my mouth just thinking about it.

Worms

While I have always bought this oatmeal and had no issues before, I opened up a packet and went to crush the larger chunks of sugar with my spoon when I noticed a living WORM! I moved it around and found several more! I checked the date to make sure it wasn't expired and it was supposed to be good til August 2015. I also checked to make sure there weren't any holes for them to get into the bag (which there weren't), and realized they must have been packaged in. I won't be buying any oatmeal for a VERY long time!

We don’t love it…

The hidden vegetable extracts (purple carrot in particular) is an allergen in this family. I didn’t realize until after I purchased it and nearly gave it to someone who cannot have carrots. What happened to just putting maple/brown sugar and oats in this?!?! Why the additional flavourings that are not necessary?

Why Sodium?

Checking sodium content for my Dad... just wow. When the quick cooking oats have zero sodium? Guess my dad and all other heart patients can't buy "lazy oats" which is what my family calls "instant oatmeal" You guys should make an actual heart healthy version... add cinnamon and raisins and make it high in potassium with zero sodium and it will fly off the shelves... provided you market it correctly... love the quick AND old fashioned oats though...

New change to ingredients TASTES HORRIBLE!!!

I have been eating Quaker Instant Oatmeal - Maple and Brown Sugar for years for breakfast and now I am searching for something else. WHY did you change the ingredients? Can't the people who want a healthier oatmeal just eat the one with less sugar??? If I wanted a healthier oatmeal that's the one I would chose to eat. This is ridiculous, so now all of your loyal customers are forced to find a substitute for something they've looked forward to everyday for years?!?!?!?! I'm sorry to say that unless you change your recipe back to the yummy recipe that we all love, that you've lost a customer and it sounds like I am not the only one.

Anyone else noticed the change?

I have been a satisfied daily consumer of Quaker Original instant oatmeal for years each morning and was surprised recently when not only had there been a change in the box color, but the contents of the packets had been changed. Uncooked it looked the same, but after preparing it was mushy and bland and tasteless and lacked the character that the former version had. That's the only way I can describe it and it's a disappointing change. Has anyone else had this unfortunate experience and what does Quaker have to say about it? I downgrade it from 5 stars to one star.

New recipe is disgusting in many flavors

I have been eating the strawberries and cream for years. Although I appreciate you're actually using real strawberries now instead of strawberry flavored apple pieces, they're extremely tart and not sweet. What is the worst overall is the actual texture of the oatmeal when cooked. It's soooooo mushy and pastey. I usually add a little more water to avoid this, but i have tried with the new recipe and I can't even describe the texture but as gross gummy mush. I've tried 3 different flavors and it's the same. Cinnamon spice and maple brown sugar all lack flavor. Will never buy again.
