gross

Whatever you did to change this product, change it back please. It smells up my cabinet and tastes awful. I do not see any brown sugar in it any more, either. Just a strange tasting white maple flavored powder. I won't be buying this kind again. my kids will not eat it either. this is the only quaker product i do not like.

I've Loved It for Years!

I've enjoyed my Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal for as long as it has been around (I'm 75). However, not long ago I brought some home and discovered it was not what I was used to. It tasted like the paste that I tried eating when I was in the first grade! I almost gave up on Quaker Oats when I found the flavor I loved in a box labeled Classic Recipe. Maybe, just maybe, this would be what I was looking for. And it was!! Congratulations to Quaker Oats for making sure that the "original Coke" was still available. I wish them the best on the other versions...they're NOT for me.

Our Favorite

My wife and I both have this as our favorite oatmeal flavor. The only thing is I now get it in the weight control version. My wife likes it the way it comes and makes it with water. My preference is with milk and adding some of my favorite things. I add cinnamon, blueberries, bananas, walnut and pecan chips. All added for good health reasons. It has become our go to oatmeal breakfast!!

Don't Listen to The Negative Reviews

Don't listen to the weird people who gave this 1 star. The recipe has actually improved. They removed all of the chemicals, dyes, and artificial flavors from this product and it has become more natural. The people who gave this 1 star are used to eating fake food.

I enjoy it every morning

I've been buying and eating the Maple Brown Sugar for years now. The recipe change was bad but they went back to the original so I continued using daily. I use milk when making it (two packs) along with about four to five teaspoons fresh raisins. Quick and good. Can't beat it. I buy the large box no less than two at a time.

Best-Tasting Oatmeal

Quaker Maple and Brown Sugar is my favorite oatmeal flavor. I enjoy eating this as a healthier breakfast and snack. I love the new packaging with the water line measurement on the side it saves time and dishes. I am very glad you changed it back to the classic recipe.

Really inconsistent

Sometimes this product is great and I enjoy it very much. But I dread opening a new box, because sometimes every packet in the box is horrible. I prepare it the same way every time, but the results can vary wildly. For some reason the oats don't soften a lot of the time. Then I am eating a soup of sweetened water and hard oats. I really can't account for the difference in quality. It's like roulette every time I buy a box.

New box, BAD Flavor/taste...

box appears to have changed, and unfortunately the taste as well. I've be eating this maple & brown sugar for many many years (20+ I think). I've seen size change (shrink) over the years, but now the taste and texture... mushy and bland. Not the same great product. Noticed from first bite... don't recommend, try another brand. Not the same product which I've been eating for countless years. It's like eating slightly flavored paste... not natural taste or texture.

box instead of envelopes?

I would love to be able to get the Maple & Brown Sugar in a box like the old-fashioned oatmeal that could be measured out rather than the envelopes. Do you think this will ever be a possibility? I have cancer and eat this every morning but eat two packets instead of one as it is hard to find things I can eat. The packets can get rather expensive on my disability income.

Go back to the old recipe!

For almost 30 years this was my favorite, but the recipe has changed somehow and it is not even close to as good anymore. It tastes fake, not mapley and the mouth feel isn't as creamy. Weirdly, the apple cinnamon still tastes the same and is good but the maple is terrible. What has changed?
