Pretty Tasty

I got to try out Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels. I mostly ate them by themselves, which was great. They had the right amount of sweet to off set the bitter. A good balance between the two. This balance was helpful with my failed microwave chocolate chip cookie project. I was trying out a new recipe I had found online. Well, it didn't work out the way they showed in the video. The cookie dough was too sweet for me and it didn't cook right in my microwave but the Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels melted like they were suppose too. With them being semi-sweet it did help offset the too sweet cookie dough. I would use Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Morse again, just not with that particular cookie recipe. :-) "I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own."

Perfect 'chew'

When sprinkled on top of a dessert, then placed back into the oven, most Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels soften. Once cooled, your dessert chew is firmer and more wide spread with the softening and spreading of the morsels. It was a delightful discovery for me.

The gold standard for chocolate chips!

Nestle` Toll House chips make the best cookies. That yellow bag means quality, every time. You may start out using them to make your Toll House cookies, but you will continue to find treats to add them to and take it to the next level! I alswasy have them in my pantry.

Bring back the old morsels

I frequently buy Nestle morsels and have been noticing something off with my cookies in the last couple months. I went to different stores, checked expiration dates, etc thinking maybe there was a bad batch circulating. Today I just realized the bag says "richer and creamier" I'm not sure what that process entails but I definitely feel it has ruined the flavor! Nestle are the only chocolate chips I will buy because of their consistent, classic flavor. Please revert back to your original process because these taste awful!!

Thanks for letting us know your thoughts! We'll let our bakers know you're missing our previous morsels. We didn't add any new ingredients to our morsels, but we've improved our morsel-making process to enhance the indulgent chocolate taste and increase the creaminess of our melt to ensure we're producing the absolute best. ,Toll House® Brand Ambassador,Teresa, clientresponse

What happened?!?

What happened to the chips? Last night I was making bars for a work potluck and when it came time to melt the chocolate chips, they never properly melted, just turned grainy and clumpy. I thought, "oh ok, maybe I burned this batch" so I had to run out to my local grocery store and picked up 2 more bags just in case it happened a second time. I attempted to melt them again and the same thing happened. :( I ended up spreading the grainy/clumpy mixture on my bars because I didn't want to waste any more money trying to fix it. My grandma had the same problems and she has been making these same bars forever! Unfortunately I will be buying Hershey's or Ghiradelli from now on, I know those melt and give me the smooth shiny texture I am looking for. Very disappointing Toll House.

Gotta have the best!

My husband thinks buying generic chocolate chips is just as good as Toll House but there is definitely a big difference! Generic is just not as smooth or rich. When I get a craving for my chocolate coconut bars and have to use generic I am so disappointed and so is the rest of the family. Nowadays I make sure I am the one buying baking ingredients and always buy Nestle Toll House!
