I always keep at least one bag in my pantry to either make toll house cookies or to add to other recipes to elevate them. I melt them to make fudge, drizzle them over sweet banana bread or make Christmas crack any time of the year. I also eat them right out of the bag but don't tell anyone.

I've been making Nestle's toll house recipe, using Nestle semi-sweet chips, for 50 years. Now the cookies taste "off." I tasted the morsels by themselves--they are the culprit. They have less of a chocolatey flavor, more of a chalky consistency. I tried the recipe using Guittard chips and it was excellent. Why did Nestle make their morsels into inedible junk?

Have used them to bake tollhouse chocolate chip cookies since I was a little girl - nothing else in the world compares to a freshly baked tollhouse chocolate chip cookie!! Asked Swiss friends (we are expats now) what to bring for Christmas dinner and that's what they asked for!!

I made cookies last night using Nestle Toll House semi sweet chocolate chips and they were rich and perfectly sweet with just the right amount of chocolate (for me) in each bite.

I use Nestles semi-sweet morsels every Christmas to make "Forgotten Ccookies" for my family. My mother made these cookies when I was a kid, and she always used Nestles semi-sweet morsels, and I do the same. Why? Because you can depend on them to always be delicious!

There is no substitute for the best chocolate chips! The quality of these chips can't be beat. I've tried others and always come back to Nestle Toll House. I use them in baking and candy making. They melt evenly yet can hold their shape if necessary. They taste better than others and the quality is always top notch.

Do you know how you can make something that no one else can master like you do? My chocolate chip cookies are like that, since I first married 31 years ago I began baking and when it comes to my cookies I only use Toll House morsel's the best ingredient ever, it never fails me.

i just happened to read the reviews on your semi sweet chocolate morsels. ive been baking with them for over 50 yrs. im shocked by these negative reviews so much that i felt compelled to write one of my own. yes the package amount has changed over the years but what hasnt? just adjust. i took the recipe on the package decades ago when in high school & adjusted it to make what has been my signature chocolate chip cookie ever since. through the years i have been told i should sell them, trademark the recipe etc... but i bake for my & the recipient's enjoyment so that was never a consideration. my point is that i see no difference in my cookies, neither do any of the recipients so im confused by all this negativity. as far as the chips melting, well that changed decades ago. they seem the same to me. i will melt some & use them to dip butter cookies in and i have no problem. through the years ive tried ghiradelli & various others if i was tempted by a sale, but i always came back to nestle, ALWAYS and there were times when i baked twice a week to fill requests for my chocolate chip cookies. just had to add my 2 cents.

When I want the Best Chocolate chip cookies I only buy Toll House. Actually when I want the Best of anything I buy Toll house. To me the rest is just not up to Nestle's standard. If it's not Nestle's it's not as good, if it's Semi sweet, milk chocolate or what ever it's just not as good as Nestle's. Big fan.

I always bake at least twice a year now. Harder for me to get around now. But we always keep a fresh bag handy just in case. But it really does not last to long. I went to start baking the other day and I had not one chip in the house. Now I knew I had two bags, but they are gone. Like with the cookies my husband ate them little by little. I was wondering why his sugar was so high lately. Guess I will just have to hide them fro now on. They are the best chocolates to bake with. Have tried another and just threw them out. They can not compare with Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels!
