[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to make chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip biscotti and chocolate glaze for fourless chocolate cake. The quality was good and the taste excellent. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

When I want the Best Chocolate chip cookies I only buy Toll House. Actually when I want the Best of anything I buy Toll house. To me the rest is just not up to Nestle's standard. If it's not Nestle's it's not as good, if it's Semi sweet, milk chocolate or what ever it's just not as good as Nestle's. Big fan.

For a long time, I've taken a little handful of Nestle chocolate morsels when I needed a taste of chocolate... but it no longer hits the same. There is no joy in eating them. I'm so glad to hear the other comments, to know I'm not going crazy. Nestle keeps saying "the recipe hasn't changed"... but one of the ingredients is simply "chocolate"... and the CHOCOLATE has changed. Same recipe, different taste. Might have something to do with recent changes to the rules governing chocolate. In any event, I don't see any point in buying these again.

I've used Nestle chips all my life! Now the last 4 bags I've tried to use the chips will not melt and are grainy! It's horrible. I've wasted so much time and money. All my Christmas baking that had these in the recipe had to be thrown out . Something has changed with the cocoa butter. I have never in my life had issues with these. So upset.

I'm in my mid-forties, and a single mom of three. I've been baking as long as I can remember and the only chocolate chips I will use are Nestle. For cookies, cakes, candies, and treats like s'mores or decorated marshmallow treats, thes are my go to. We love them.

I make mom's fudge recipe the 5lb batch every year. I usually make 30-35lb during the holidays. I have tried other brands of semi sweet chips and found them to produce an inferior product. I now only use Nestles because I can depend on outstanding product results.

Had to change my recipe and went to gharadelli chips. Don't waste your money on these. They added cellulose or something to keep them from melting. Won't admit it to us as I have called. Put the glob in the bag and return to store. Let them eat that junk choc. 50 year old recipe, no changes tomy recipe.

I cannot even guess how many dozens of chocolate chip cookies that I have baked in my country kitchen. I use a recipe from a church cookbook that uses oatmeal and of course nestle chocolate chips. There is always a tin of cookies in my freezer that is enjoyed by children and grandchildren. Our favorite way to eat them is frozen!

I was originally trying to find out why the chip packages have gone from 12to 12.5, and now to 10 oz. After reading so many reviews about the taste, etc., I have decided to return all 12 bags of chips before I ruin all of my fudge. I haven't bought them for over 2 years so the size was s real surprise, but workable. The bad flavor reviews are a no go for me. I'd rather spend more for my already expensive fudge.

Great in Cookies and other baked goods, but my favorite use is making chocolate ganache. It makes a great frosting. While warm, I use it to dip cupcake tops and it forms a shiny smooth coating. Let it cool and then spread a nice fudgy icing. or let cool, then whip it until it is light and fluffy. Easy to pipe. No added sugar, so it is not too sweet. Add flavoring and and roll into truffles. Always have morsels on hand.
