Delicious Classic!

I made my family's favorite chocolate chip cookies using the Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chip Morsels, and they always turn out beautifully. As far as I can remember, my family has always used these. They have a delicious and rich flavor and melt wonderfully. A great addition to your pantry, and can be used in so many recipes. "I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own."

Something's different - and the coconut smell

I haven't made choc chip cookies for a while, yet when i was making the cookies, there was a horrendous smell and i didn't know where it was coming from. Then I reopened the bag of nestle choc chips and it smelled like a pile of coconut. I have an aversion to coconut/palm, whatever happened to non-smelling oil. If I did like coconut, I would prefer to add it to a recipe myself rather than be forced to have coconut choc chips vs. good ole' regular chocolate. There's other semi healthy oils that don't smell/taste so pungent.

Totally versatile!!

I love using Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels! They work extremely well in most recipes where Cocoa is called for!! I would not use them in a cake recipe that called for the cocoa powder to make the batter chocolate- they not only make cookies super I use them in puddings, chocolate cream pie, oatmeal, pancakes and I can never resist sneaking a few to enjoy straight from the bag!

10 bags of semi sweet chips = grainy junk

What happened Nestle? Have used your product for years making great desserts - and so has my mother. In the last two weeks we have called each other complaining about how the quality of your chips have changed. They do not melt in a double boiler, a microwave, or any other means I've been using for years. Between us we have wasted 10 bags of chips. No problems with the milk chocolate-only the semi sweet. Bad production batch? Did I miss an announcement about an ingredient change?

My Happy Place

Nestled is my happy place. After a long week of work, I enjoy relaxing and baking. I try every recipe I can find but the old faithful is Chocolate chip cookies of course! And I love making different kinds of fudge with the different types of chips! (Especially peanut butter) Thank you Nestle for letting me use my imagination!

semi sweet chips are terrible - What happened???

I have used Nestle toll house chips for years and the last few bags we have purchased are terrible. I made a batch of cookies a couple weeks ago and the chips were rock hard prior to baking. Last night I melted to dip my buckeyes in and they didn't melt as they have done before. What did they do to the recipe???? Go back to the way it was. Or I will be switching to a new chip.

Best for Buckeyes!

Nestle Toll House chocolate chips are the best for melting down to make Buckeyes. They allow the perfect amount of chocolate coating around the delicious peanut butter inside, not too thick and not too thin. I just picked up a large bag from a wholesale retailer to make a batch for the holidays and can't wait!

Wonderful Chips

I love baking with Nestle semi-sweet chips. They hold their shape really well when making cookies and bars, or when adding them as a fun surprise in cupcakes. My only issue, is that they do not melt. Instead, these chips seem to seize, which is unfortunate, because I'm sure these would be wonderful for spreading atop some krispy treats!

Chocolate anytime

I use Nestle's Semi sweet chocolate morsels in most of my baking. Chocolate chip cookies, breads, brownies, cakes, and even candy when I make my Christmas fudge with your morsels. They are delicious and I have to keep my grandson from eating them right out of the bag.
