Ziploc Gallon Storage bags work great. They are hefty and have a zip closure to keep food fresh. They are great to use for food or any small items you would like to keep together. I like these storage bags and highly recommend them. They are a little more expensive but are made better than many cheaper alternatives.

They open without much effort, and they can even stand on their own as I fill them. They are great to use with liquids. The seal is tight and seals completely. There is no leakage. There's two specific things I really like about them. 1. The top edge of the bag is textured, so when you grasp it to pull open the zipper, your fingers don't slip. This can be helpful if your hands are wet from cooking or crafting or whatever. 2. The bottom of the bag is designed to sit squarely on the counter so it stands up and stays open while you fill it! This is ingenious and will prevent those super annoying spills.

We use these for so much. These are so versatile in that they hold all sorts of items that dont necessarily fit in a square container. They are excellent for marinading and for freezing items. They are great for organizing. They take up less room than hard plastic containers. Highly recommend.

As I buy produce from the local farmers in my area, I use the bags to store the produce in my freezer.  I find the bags to be strong and reliable.  They will hold large amounts of produce which comes in handy in the winter when I want items that I know are fresh and not loaded with chemicals.  

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my complimentary box of Stay Open Ziploc gallon size bags this week. I love to use these bags to marinade our meat. I normally use a bag rack to hold the bag steady and open but I liked the stay open feature, so I gave it a try with my chicken shawarma. The bag is solid, no leakage, holds the perfect amount, the seal is amazing, but the stay open feature didn't really work for me as you can see from the picture. The bag itself also wasn't secure standing on it's own. I just did not feel it was reliable as a stand alone product but as a storage container for the marinade, it was top notch as usual!

I use large gallon Ziploc bags often, for food transport and also freezer storage, so I was eager to try the bags with the "Grip n' Seal" technology. There's nothing worse than a bag that is difficult to open or close, so I usually get the Ziploc bags with the slider, but somehow that little bit of extra plastic always seems a extra wasteful. These bags seem like a great alternative and felt very sturdy. with the extra lip of plastic sticking up on one side, it made it extra easy to open. It really feels like a quality product compared to some generic store brand food storage bags. The only qualm I can think to add about this product is that it seems like a great idea to have the serrated opening on the top of the box, from which to pull the Ziploc bags out of... but it could have been designed slightly better so that you could rip the cardboard serration a little easier and not make a mess of it like I did.

We have a large family, so we buy food in bulk and freeze it. I was excited to try this new design that stands up on its own, making it easier to fill. We typically freeze meats, vegetables, and soups on occasion. Using this design made it very easy to work with the food to divide portions. I simply set up a row of ziploc bags on the counter, and started filling them. There was no mess and no fuss. Brilliant! It did ok with liquid. The seal was firm and secure, but I did have to hold the bag while filling it with liquid. The sides just weren't rigid enough to stand on its own with liquid inside. I will definitely be purchasing these in the future!

And the fact that they stand up on their own also really helps. I found these to be sturdy, and as always, I love the way they easily zip up. Definitely will be buying again!
