But they are strong, don't leak, and get the job done. Will probably switch to reusable silicone soon as I'm really trying to cut down on single-use plastics.

I have been a loyal Ziploc consumer for many years and purchase Ziploc Freezer bags in large quantities through the various warehouse clubs. I don't know what's going on with the bags, if they have changed suppliers or what, but the latest batches have a pinkish tinge and the mil is much thinner the older ones, which had more of a bluish tinge to them. Since, they are thinner I've been having to double bag everything before freezing it, which defeats the purpose of being cost effective. They used to be my favorite bags but now I'll have to start comparing with others on the market.

I also appreciate the small details, like the grippy tabs to open the bags and the way that you can sit the bag up and fill easily right on the counter. Usually I have to ask my husband or 6 year old daughter to hold the bag for me. I did fold down the top 2 times to help stabilize it. I love the Ziplock brand because they are durable and I know nothing will get freezer burn.
