I have always purchased ziplock bags and had no problems with them. I purchased the new zip lock quart bags and every time I would go to zip them shut they would pull apart below the zipper. Not just me but my son also had them do the same thing! Also, the gallon bags with the new zipper came apart at the bottom seam and spilled everything in it! I have always trusted ziplock but these new ones are not the quality they should be!

Loved Ziploc products, however, the bags (gallon, quart, sandwich, snack) often won't reseal. The "Easy Open Tabs" are great, but the fact that we have had food messes and waste money throwing away bags due to this defect is frustrating and annoying, to say the least. Don't understand why the double-zipper technology fails after opening the bags only one time. Heading to the store to get a different brand of bags to finish organizing our jigsaw puzzles. BTW, we have puzzles in other brand name bags that are over two decades old, and they still open and close securely. Just sayin'.

I usually by ziploc, so when I got this sample was very excited to try the new easy open tabs. I was not disappointed with the way the easy open tabs worked, they made it so easy to open the bags without spilling what I was trying to keep in the bag. I think I will have to get the sandwich size bags to use for lunches.

Have been a faithful Ziploc user due to the easy close "zipper" and the box tops. Unfortunately, now the bags are so hard to close, but worse, they are so thin. Can't store sharp food in them (e.g.: pretzels) without poking holes in the bag. Had to triple bag the freezer bags just to ensure my food won't get freezer burn. Won't be buying this brand anymore.

These bags seem to tear pretty easily from the top down along one side or the other. I have to be really careful when opening them to make sure I'm not opening them too wide to cause them to tear. Unfortunately, the side tearing even a little can render them no longer air tight. It's a pain...

I loved the ziploc slider bags. I always knew when something was sealed closed for good. The box I just bought, every single bag, the zip just zips right off leaving the bag unlocked. I don't know if the zips is cheap or not gripping or what but I am disappointed.

I hate the new Ziploc Easy Open bags for all the reasons others have mentioned. They are hard to close, the top portion of the bag rips almost every time I open them, and they are just garbage!!! I've been a faithful Ziploc purchaser for years. I use a lot! These new bags just feel of inferior quality. I'm a teacher and I use the bags for students to take home a book every day in, and I've been through twice as many bags this year because they keep splitting open on the sides and the kids loose their books. More money on Ziplocs means I have less money to spend on other important things for my classroom. Please go back to the old bags or I will be looking for another brand!

Use these for dividing up bulk buys from Sam's. Put hamburger in and flatten. Makes it stackable, thaws in microwave or laying out faster. Ziplock is firm and doesn't split open easily. Use for kids supplies crayons and makers. Hold up well with kids.keep in car for emergency wet clothes, trash, dirty clothes, etc.

We have used the Ziploc brand for years, but this new design has made us switch to another brand. These are nearly impossible to reclose, they often leak and the tab has torn off. Something you might expect from a cheap knock-off, but not from Ziploc. Sorry to see the brand go down hill and sorry to have to switch brands after all these years.

I've been using these newer style bags (gallon and quart) for a while and I am seeing a problem with the new style flap for opening the bag. It seems the lower side flap peels away form the bag from time to time. This occurs on the Gallon size and the Quart size. When the flap peels away it is very difficult to open the open the bag. When this happens I have to transfer the contents to a new bag. Not very cost effective. This could be an R & D problem. a design problem or an intentional design flaw to force the consumer to replenish their bag for frequently.
