Many users seem to be aware that the so-called "Easy Open Tabs" actually tear off and separate from the bags when they are used. It would be encouraging to hear something from customer service along the lines of, yes we are aware of this design/manufacturing issue and are taking steps to correct it. Thanks.

The Ziploc Easy Open Tabs bags do not offer the same quality as the regular Ziploc bags. Both the quart-sized and sandwich bag seams split upon opening them, and the bags leak. I have always marinated a whole chicken in a gallon-sized bag, and have been able to turn it upside down to move the marinade through to coat the chicken. I was unable to do this successfully with the gallon-sized Easy Open Tab bag because the marinade leaked through the opening. I hope SC Johnson considers nixing this Ziploc bag and goes back to the tried and true.

I was given a free sample of ZIploc Slider Bags and I just love them. Not only do we use these for food storage, but storing of office supplies, small kids toys, etc. You name it, it can fit into a Ziploc bag because there are so many different size options. They are very easy for kids and seniors to open and close, too!

I have been a ziploc user for many, many years, and have always thought the product to be great in all ways. The newest addition to Ziploc bags is the "Easy Open Tab", which, in my case anyway, has failed every time I have used a bag. The tab simply tears away when the bag is being opened, leaving nothing to grasp to separate the two zippers. Here's hoping that they will soon learn this and discontinue the new tabs.

I have used ziploc for years but the last few boxes of the gallon zipper storage bags have been awful. Plastic is super thin, zippers won't unzip the bag and end up falling off and when you try to open the bag it tears under the zipper area which then makes the bag useless. Out of this box and the last I threw away over half.

I was pleasantly surprised by how handy these Ziplock bags were. I used them for practically everything from packing full of grapes to filling them up with cut up veggies to have handy for snacking. I will continue to use these Ziplock storage bags even after this box is long gone. Thank you allowing me to try these out and evaluate them.

We needed to sort and store tons of embroidered fabric badges. I purchased the gallon slider bags so we could push out the air for flat efficient storage, yet easily open and close them as needed. At first they looked like a dream come true, but as the day went on we found the first ones we had used were now plumping up as if they were not air tight at all. In the end, almost none stayed flat at all. I feel like it was a big waste of time and money

I'm a pretty loyal Ziploc customer but these new "easy open tabs" seem to be super-glued shut (I'm exaggerating). When I grab a new bag and try to open it (with the same strength/force as the "old design" bags) it doesn't open and I end up unintentionally ripping the tab off ala the Incredible Hulk. It's infuriating. Please fix this.

I've been using these newer style bags (gallon and quart) for a while and I am seeing a problem with the new style flap for opening the bag. It seems the lower side flap peels away form the bag from time to time. This occurs on the Gallon size and the Quart size. When the flap peels away it is very difficult to open the open the bag. When this happens I have to transfer the contents to a new bag. Not very cost effective. This could be an R & D problem. a design problem or an intentional design flaw to force the consumer to replenish their bag for frequently.

We have used the Ziploc brand for years, but this new design has made us switch to another brand. These are nearly impossible to reclose, they often leak and the tab has torn off. Something you might expect from a cheap knock-off, but not from Ziploc. Sorry to see the brand go down hill and sorry to have to switch brands after all these years.
