[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had just thrown my daughter's graduation party a couple of days before receiving this sample. I made 4 varieties of individual mini-trifles for desserts. For ease of prep and assembly, I made all of the ingredients the day prior (each trifle had some mixture of pudding, cool whip, cream cheese as one of its layers). The plan was to fill a freezer bag with each pudding variety, and simply cut a corner of the bag and pipe in the goodness into each serving cup the day of the party. NOT SO EASY with slider bags that don't stand up!! It was a messy disaster attempting to fill them, scooping in the pudding one spoonful at a time, as I mumbled to myself how I wish the bags would just stand upright so I could just pour it in. Then, the next day, I cut the corner off my first bag, started to pipe in the cool whip concoction, and immediately discovered that slider bags will pop right open if you squeeze the contents. NOT IDEAL to say the least! A couple days later I received this box of stay open storage bags. I ended up having family over for dinner just a couple nights ago and re-attempted the mini-trifles. WHAT A GAME CHANGER HAVING THESE BAGS!! Lightweight, yet stand up and stay open with such ease - so easy to pour my ingredients right in. The ziploc is super strong, and I had no bag blowouts at all. Phenomenal. Sure wish I had had them a week before.

I have been using Ziplock bags for years and I really really dislike this new design with the "Stand up bottom". It makes the bag seem much smaller and is all around lousy!! Please go back to the original design or at least offer that one to purchase as well. This new bag is just awkward and crummy.

I have been using Ziplock bags for years and I really hate this new design with the "Stand up bottom". By creating the stand up bottom the SIDES ARE SHORTER of the bag. I rely on the length of the bags (both gallon and half gallon bags) to store multiple things in them and many of these things don't fit any more (ie. opened Bacon, meat packages, cheese, ect..) and these things no longer fit. As well the :stand up bottom" once filled DON'T STACK WELL IN FREEZER because they don;t lie flat, things get caught in the corners after freezing, and they flop all over the freezer (ie, blueberries, apples, ect...) I don;t want to upscale to larger size because that just adds more air to freezing. Please go back to the original design or at least offer that one to purchase as well. These "stand up bottom" has some advantages (with loose snacks, ect..) but shortening the bag by folding the sides doesn't make up for it. Perhaps a compromise would be to bring the sides back to original length or have a multipurpose pack with both kinds in it!

Each year we grow our own tomatoes and then we make many jars of spaghetti sauce for the winter months out of them. For each batch of sauce we need up to 50 LBS of chopped tomatoes. So what happens is as the tomatoes ripen they get peeled, sieved and put into Ziploc Gallons. They are then frozen until there is enough for a batch of sauce. We ONLY TRUST Ziploc gallon bags for this task. NOT ONCE have we lost a drop of our precious tomato puree! They are the toughest, strongest and mostly reliable bag on the market today! These bags are great, I usually avoid plastic bags due to having experience with them leaking in the past, but these work great. I have not had an issue with these Gallon bags. The bags are definitely a little thicker than others I have used, and the stay open design is definitely very helpful when trying to fill them. Will definitely buy again.

I use them to store my raw chicken and put them in the freezer. They keep my chicken fresh for a couple of weeks when I'm not going to use it right away. I also use these bags to store opened packages of cookies and other treats that don't come in a resealable packaging and everything stays really fresh! 10/10 recommend!

I like the fact they stay open which makes it easy to fill. The closure seal will make sure even liquids will not leak. I would highly recommend this product.

I was able to spoon in spaghetti sauce with meatballs without worrying about the bag dumping over. In the past, I would need to ask my husband for help or place it in a mixing bowl to keep the baggie from falling over. Not anymore. What an improvement!!!

It's a trusted brand and the size of the bags is excellent for my needs. If you buy meat in bulk, simply put it in these bags and know they'll be fresh when you take them out of the freezer. The bag stands up well and I appreciate the design of the packaging. Overall, this is a great product and an excellent value for the cost.
