I really enjoy Ziploc products and food storage products in general and this Ziploc storage gallon did not disappoint! I love the design allowing it to stay open, the grip and seal technology and how thin but strong the material of the bag feels. You can use these bags for a variety of items, from food to storing non-food items. I also appreciate that they've adopted ways to reuse and recycle this product as well. Love the product and brand, would recommend.

But seeing - and using - is believing. These are nice, thick plastic, seal incredibly easily and smoothly (so THAT'S how storage bags are supposed to seal!), and stand on their own for easy filling. I will absolutely be re-purchasing these when I run out and was pleasantly surprised with this sample product.

They are very convenient. I love using them to take items on the go or for sending food items with people. I always prefer to use reusable storage items, but sometimes you just have to use a plastic bag, and this one is a really great and reliable option.

These bags are very convenient but after multiple uses are not very reliable. The slider tends to break apart and leave the bag unusable. Additionally, plastic bags are awful for the environment and land in the trash where they never decompose. If you are going to buy these bags, you must reuse them.

Yes, zip lock bags are good and very strong. They could hold a lot of weight without ripping the bag. I really don't like the slider zip lock bags though because of how easy the plastic zip breaks off. Sometimes the top of the bag does rip off but very rarely. I have stopped buying these and use the regular ones instead.

Sometimes, during summer fruit and veggie season, I end-up with more harvesting, than I have time to can, so I store and freeze my summer harvest in gallon sized ( [product:ziploc-brand-slider-storage-bags-gallon-/-large] ) to preserve them, and keep them from over-ripening and going bad. I just stuff the bags, flatten them, and store them@in the deep freezer until I can either use them or can them... they hold up to the task, never break open, and nothing as of yet tastes freezer burnt- and I've been canning for about 10 years now! 5/5-stars!
