They are essential to make sure important items stay dry- sometimes I hike through rain for days, or have even fallen into a river, but these bags never leak, so they're very dependable. The slider makes it quick and easy to open and close them. I don't use any other storage bags, these are my favorite.

These bags are horrible. I have purchased ziploc bags for years and always thought they were the best. I had purchased bags over the holidays and they don't open You tug and pull and then the bag tears on the side or the strip comes off. This isn't just my opinion. The new seal works too well, and that's a problem. The integrity of the bag no longer matches the seal and they are impossible to open without tearing the bag. These have become one use only, and it's too wasteful to buy these again. I hope they solve this issue, because they store better than that other brand that rhymes with sad. This problem exists on all the grip 'n' seal style bags.
