Our previous Royal shredder finally quit on us after 15 years. Decided to go with Royal again, and glad we did. We ran a small mountain of receipts, credit card offers, bank and credit card statements and other paperwork through the shredder as soon as we got it home. The 1600MX ran through all of it with no issues at all. If this shredder is as durable as our last one, I'll write another glowing review in the ten to fifteen years.

Great for small office with minimal daily shredding. Great product!

This is a great little workhorse. Sufficient even for office applications. It's not super speedy, but you can feed up to 16 pages or discs or credit cards and it does a great job. By it's price, you might assume it's not a good machine, but don't be fooled. If you comparison shop you find less features at 3 x + the cost of this machine. I recommend without reservation

Product earns top rating because it is exactly as advertised. Will shred multiple sheets easily, quietly and quickly. We tackled a 5 inch pile of papers in a few minutes. Sliding access top is convenient and stylish for a home office. Shredder bin is really large and holds a lot. Bin is easy to remove and dump. Special sale pricing of $79.95 made this an amazing value. Unit appears to be quality construction that will last a long time.

Excellent buy and within seconds things are shredded . It takes envelopes with papers fast. No longer have to separate papers to shred.

Very quiet, much easier to use, sliding top cover makes it much safer with small children around and the much larger catch can is very easy to empty.....Totally satisfied customer
