We bought this in April 2020, we had our previous Breville toaster oven for eight years without any issues and this was it's replacement. I'm very surprised to see that I am not the only one experiencing this error message (E05) after 2 years of use. What can be done to help with this issue?

This oven is highly recommended due to its superb even toasting ability and nonstick interior that makes cleaning easy. It has 10 preset functions and an inbuilt convection fan to speed up cooking. Its large capacity is perfect for big meals. The Element IQ technology and rack placement guide are added bonuses. The slow cook function is exceptional. It's also easy to clean, making it a keeper.

We have had our Breville Smart Oven Pro for 6 years and use daily for 3 meals a day. Make most of my baked goods (pies, muffins, cakes, banana loaf, cookies, bread) and savoury cooking (roast chicken, grilled veggies, pizza, bacon, toast, pork chops). The convection fan died a slow and noisy death last year and this week the oven stopped heating all together. The lighted display and “on” button luminate but no heat or convection. Sucks these don't last longer (and not worth getting repaired) but we will probably repurchase again b/c has saved a lot of time and gas from stoking up my oven these last 6 years. Easy to clean. Mine looks in great condition except for no longer working.

The reason that I like this oven is numerous. Let's start with the slow cook function. It's like having a personal chef that takes their time to make your food just right. Then there's the large cooking capacity, which makes it feel like I am running my own mini-restaurant. But the icing on the cake is the built-in convection fan. Who knew moving hot air could make such a difference? All in all, this is one kitchen appliance that has earned its place on my counter.

We loved this smart oven and raved about it to friends but then at the two year mark it made a funny noise, the lights flickered and it no longer heats up. When we contacted customer support they did little to assist. The oven was great until it wasn't. Given the price I would not recommend.

Poor product, I have had it for more than a year! Once you cook toast once, you have to wait for the oven to completely cool down before you can cook another piece! If you try to use it twice without cool down in between, the heating elements never get hot enough to toast the bread the 2nd time. Cool down takes at least 10 min. In addition there are 3 rack settings, 1 low and 2 at the top, not evenly spaced. If you try to re-heat a waffle it burns the top and the bottom is under cooked. They could have added another rack slot to the big space in the middle at no additional cost but they did not. I do not recommend this product until they redesign it to work better!

I thought nothing would wean me away from my Ninja Air Frier, but the Breville Smart Oven Pro easily did that within the first week of use. Most importantly, it is just as easy to use as an air frier, but is so much more versatile with ten different cooking modes, each with default temperature and time settings. Further, overriding the defaults (e.g., lighter or darker toast) is intuitive and easy. Though it is not an air frier, convection baking breaded Cobia white fish at 360 degrees produced an equally special result. I'm looking forward to making pizza — the oven back even has a circular cutout to accommodate the provided 9” pizza pan! I originally purchased the smaller version, but exchanged it for the Smart Pro, which for me is the perfect size. There are other nice details, like the middle shelf that is pulled out automatically by magnets in the oven door. I anticipate the unit and pans being easy to maintain and keep clean.

Usually I must press the “on” button six to ten times to get the oven to turn on! This has happened with two ovens (the first one died when it was dropped), and it begins to happen after about a year of use. The oven works great once it is turned on, but it sure is frustrating to press and press and press and press and press….

Bought the oven just over a year ago and it worked really great until one day it just did not anymore. After my partner a I got home from being away for 2 months the fan started to rattle really loud out and then over night the oven short circuited and we had to throw it in the trash because the warranty was up. Such a waste of money.
