After using the Breville BOV845BSS the Smart Oven Pro, I can confidently say that this product is terrific. The even toasting and rack placement guide make cooking a breeze. Although the user manual could use some improvements, it's a minor issue compared to the overall performance of the oven. And the additional comment section? Good to have! Neat! Pro. Have had a Breville Pro oven for over 4 years, having owned for some 20 years the first-ever "small" oven, a Krups. Couldn't imagine being without the Breville's fast quartz-stick heating elements. I cook for two or four. Makes perfect pizza (on its Breville nonstick pan, no pizza stone needed), full-size cakes (i ve learned to cover them loosely with foil halfway through), countless casseroles. i do not broil because though the interior has a slick surface. i do not care to clean out grease spatters from inevitable nooks and crannies. Cannot comment on toasting as i use a standalone toaster. Becsuse it's small and heats super-efficiently, it doesn't waste energy as my kitchrn's oven would. Cons. 1. The convection fan, though not regularly used, died after two years. My muffins don't seem to mind-- but this flaw should not have happened! My other 2 Breville appliances have not let me down. 2. The SLOW COOK mode does not say what 2 temperatures it offers ( nor does the online Manual). i think this is a serious deficiency since slowcooking meat too high will irreversibly toughen the meat and spoil the dish. Both settings seem high. Using BAKE for braising/slowcooking limits the cooking to 90 min--which is not long enough; repeats are necessary; an inconvenience!

My mom bought this about a year or two ago. I absolutely love/loved this oven! Past tense in love because I had a house fire June 2020 and lost everything and among some things that survived, including this oven, no longer functional though. I used this almost everyday for toasting bagels, heating up left over food, or roasting an entire turkey! I love and miss having this, and recommend this to anyone and everyone. Just make sure your counter can handle the weight of it!

This works perfectly for preparing frozen snacks, reheating, etc. Haven't used it much for actual baking meals, but am sure it would work. One drawback is the convection fan - VERY noisy after 10 months of use. Waiting for a reply from Breville if the problem can be solved - they are usually great in this department so I am confident something will be done!

After doing some extensive research, I decided on buying this oven and I gotta say, it's been a revelation. The even toasting feature has brought new life to my breakfasts. Gone are the days of half-burnt, half-raw toast. Now, it's golden perfection every time. In a nutshell, It's great. It's like the Michael Jordan of toaster ovens. I may not be able to dunk a basketball, but my toast game is on point!

I was surprised to find out that there is NO LIGHT in the oven. Seems a pretty big oversight for an expensive gadget. Also, it is awkward to open the door as it requires also pulling out the crumb tray partway. I burned my forearm trying to get out some toast, so there's a safety hazard. Not a good design. It does a pretty good job cooking many things but no better than an oven that costs less and has a better design. No light? Really? If you're considering a countertop oven, I'd suggest you continue looking and pass this one by.

I made a shelf for the oven to place it at same height as the microwave to get it off the counter. There is a problem, though, with the display. You can ONLY read the display when looking DOWN at the oven onto the counter. At or just below eye level, the display fades and you can't see it !!!!!! Very annoying The shelf is very convenient, but I now need a ladder to read the display!
