Hiqh Quality Lubrication

I like this oil because I don't have any oil consumption issues. It is the recommended oil for my diesel pickup (10.5 quarts). I change it and filter myself at approximately every 8,500 to 8,800 miles (10K recommended by Ram). About .5 quart is missing when it is changed with the filter. This has been consistent since it was new. No leaks are apparent. Currently have 80K miles on the engine.

You deserve to have the best.

Been around diesel equipment for forty years and have tried other oils but have always gone back to shell Rotella. Check truckers websites, read articles about diesel oils. I would not but anything in my diesel engine except Rotella now for the best grade T6 is what you want .

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Shell Rotella T6 synthetic oil is truly worth the money. It's performance is excellent in our heavy duty Peterbilt 387 CAT C15 engines and our 2002 Ford F350 Super duty 7.3L V8 turbo deisel engine. We will not put in any other oil in our CAT C15s, they run smooth with no knocks. We usually buy this by the barrel, but needed it sooner.

It’s disappointing that an expensive delivery such as this is essentially left by the road side. This particular Fedex driver recommended I get a drop box, so I did. She still dumps the packages right next to it. Fedex isn’t putting Walmart in a favorable light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product and your on-line price is very good. You should carry the single quarts too. This product has a strong following among the automotive crowd and it's often in short supply in your stores. Stock more and you'll sell more.

Great oil for older engines.

Did some research and found out that this oil contains the additives of older style oils of the 60 and 70's! So it protects the older engines with the type of parts that the newer oils don't necessarily cover. Put it in my old Jeep Cherokee and notice a much quieter running machine with a more consistent oil pressure. We will see how things work out after another 1000 miles or so on this batch. And I'm changing over all the oils in my 4 other vehicle to this also!

Great for cycles!

This is the least expensive synthetic oil available that meets the specs for my metric bike (2012 Kawasaki Concours). I just started using Rotella T6 about 2300 miles ago due to not being able to find any specifically marketed synthetic bike oil for less than $10/qt. Apparently lots of folks have been using this oil as a substitute cycle oil for years with mixed results across the board from 'It's awesome' to 'It destroyed my engine/clutch'. My experience so far has been great with no noticeable difference between using this oil and using Valvoline 4T Stroke full synthetic. The shifting just after the change is smooth then becomes a little notchy after about 400 miles just like the Valvoline had in the past (the bike has exhibited this since new, now approaching 40k miles with 11 oil changes and the original clutch still chugging away). Sam's was selling this 3 gallon case for $forty-six seventy when taking off $fifteen for a special they had. At only $three eighty nine a quart I was in for enough to outlast this bikes foreseeable service with me.

Excellent ATV and Motorcycle Oil.

This oil came highly recommended to me by an Atv mechanic for use in my Honda 500 Foremans and Honda 420 Ranchers. I did plenty of research and found that many Atv enthusiasts prefer the full synthetic T6 oils such as Rotella. This oil meets all JASO MA requirements for Motorcycle and Atv wet clutches . JASO MA is the standard for single unit engines where the wet clutch, gearbox and engine used the same oil. JASO-MA oils dont contain friction modifiers that will cause a wet clutch to slip Seems like excellent oil so far. I have also noticed that the engine cooling fan does not come on nearly as much as when I was running standard oils. I will be staying with Rotella 5w-40 T6 for all of my Atvs from here on.

The Gold Standard Oil for Diesel Engines?

Rosella seems to be the gold standard for diesel engines. From my way of thinking, the T-6 formula has been tuned for maximum protection for diesel engines. The 5W-40 rating would suggest it has been developed as an all season oil. As you can tell by my vagueness, I cannot prove any of these points, it is just my opinion.

Great for hot weather and for hard working engines

And if you take advantage of the oils ability to take care of your engine for extended oil change periods, it is the most economical. Buy oil filters designed specifically for synthetic oil and extended oil change periods and you can safely change oil every 10,000 miles. If you install a bypass oil filter in addition to your regular spin on filter you can extend your oil change periods even further. On my truck and car I change the element in my bypass filter every 5000 miles. I change my spin on filter every 10,000 miles. I also send a small sample of my oil to an oil testing lab at regular intervals to determine if I need to change oil and to determine the health of my engine. I have purposely not endorsed any products other than this oil so you can do your own research.
