T-6

Synthetic oil is always best for you vehicle. The Rotella T-6 has finally been added to Fords approved list of oils. In 2017 many vehicle manufacturers changed acceptable rating for approved oils and after much debate over the matter T-6 was added to Fords list.

A+

Used it twice so far in 2002 Jetta TDI. Usually use Castrol Syntec 5W-40. But I like this product as well and it has a nice price tag at Wal-Mart. Jetta has about 185K miles on it. Wal-Mart also has the three pack for about $60, which makes for about a $30 oil change (remember for a Jetta almost 5 qts are needed- $20 for the gallon + about $6-7 for 1 more qt +oil filter).

It's been working.

I use it in a 2007 Honda Rancher ES and it always starts right up like a champ. No slippage nothing I can't complain. I drive this bike hard and change the oil once per year or longer. Checked it the other day after like 13 months still looks ok could use a change so I'm going to do it. I'll probably use Rotella T6 again. It seems to be good stuff.

Very Good Motorcycle Oil

Rotella T-6 is a sleeper in the motorcycle world. I have run it in an XR250 dirt bike off road (which is a serious test of how it works in a wet clutch.), a Honda VFR800 sport bike and a Honda Shadow cruiser. Zero problems or issues of any kind. Blackstone lab analysis showed a very good additive package and essentially zero wear after a hard run in the sport bike. This oil is JASO MA rated for wet clutches. The price is a bargain relative to "motorcycle oils". Being a 5W-40 this oil starts easier in cold weather than petro oils. I also use it in a generator and my gas powered pick up truck. This is possibly the most versatile motor oil made. Excellent stuff. (No... I don't work for Shell oil !!)

Clean

I have 146000 on my f350 recently replaced all the injectors, when we pulled the valve covers off I was impressed they looked like new no sludge or anything. I remember 40 years ago my father in law told me to use shell Rotella if you want a clean engine. He was right.

Great Oil for my 2002 Ford Super Duty with the 7.3

I think that this one of the best oils on the market for trucks like mine as well as all of the new ones being built today. Why should we not use all of the newer oils to make our older Diesels last longer, if they help the new trucks, they should really help our older trucks that have some age on them and are still being used every day, for work, pleasure driving an just to have around. Mine has 268000 miles on it and I hope to put a Million Miles on it, if I live that long.

Good For The Long Haul

I have been using Rotella T in my Goldwing motorcycle since it was new in 1995. 225,000 miles later, no clutch problems, and my bike uses 4 oz of oil every 10,000 - 12,000 miles, when it is due for a fresh batch. I change it once a year, whether it needs it or not! Good Stuff, wish they made it in correct weights for my car and pickup. I settle for Pennzoil Ultra Full Synthetic in them, but always wish for Rotella Synthetics! I also use Rotella T in lawn, snow, and garden equipment, where heavy duty use is important. Same change intervals, once a year.

Use Rotella T6 in Suzuki DL650 V-Strom.

Used this oil in 2008 Suzuki dl650. Got 125K miles using this oil. Great for wet clutches. Oil holds up very well with 5K intervals @ highway speeds. Now on second dl650 - - plan to get 125K miles out of this one using Rotella T6. Very durable synthetic without paying $12 a quart.

Yes it meets Ford WSS-M2C171-F1 specifications

Don’t let Walmart’s vehicle compatibility for Ford diesels dissuade you from purchasing for 6.7 diesels. This is absolutely compatible. Walmart indicates that it is not for my 2020 Ford 6.7 liter diese which is incorrect. It clearly states on the back of the container that it meets Ford WSS-M2C171-F1 specifications which is what a 2020 Ford Super Duty with the 6.7 liter requires

Didn't work for my Yamaha dirtbikes

After reading the reviews on this, I tried this in a 2001 YZ250 and a 2004 TTR225, both shifted hard after using it. I tried changing it again in the YZ250 and it didn't improve. I then returned to the previous brand, Valvoline 4 cycle Motorcycle oil and the shifting problem went away. Now the bikes easily slide into gear.
