While we love the affordability, the last couple of times we've purchased this, there has been a lot of gristle in it. We may have to find another place to buy.

This meat is excellent quality for a great price. I have been buying this ever since I first got my Sams membership. We prefer it to any other ground beef.

I realize it's very lean, but it also doesn't taste very good. I've tried it several times, mainly because I was trying to eat healthier, and I just find this 90/10 weird in taste and texture. 80/20 is far, far better.

I buy this 90/10 all the time. This last batch looked like the 80/20 next to it & I purchased it anyway. Very fatty. I am pretty sure it is the 80/20 packaged as 90/10.

Price is good per pound but when cooking lots of fat. When eating lots of grisel to point that almost every bite has it. Yuck! This is supposed to be lean. I've had better results with less lean. I won't buy again.

Myself, my wife and my daughter in law have been extremely pleased with the quality of this product. Each has commented that it seemed that it was less than 10% fat. I have purchased several of the bulk tubes and then divided into smaller, usable packages which we froze for later use. Excellent product at great saving price compared to similar product from local grocery stores.

The last one we bought was definety not 90/10. Very fatty had to drain off a lot of excess fat. Flavor was not the same. What's going on here ? I feel this was a much lower grade of meat possibly 70/30. Very disappointed in quality standards. Do better.

So in light of meat shortages etc, I decided to buy some bulk ground beef, normally I go to a local grocer and buy as needed... anyway bought two of these logs, and portioned them into 2 lb zip locks and froze them immediately upon getting home... mostly used to make taco meat... anyway... I've also made hamburger patties like two times... I dunno whats going on but basically everytime I've used the meat twice for taco meat, and twice for a couple hamburg patties... and anytime I've consumed this beef it has given me diarrhea and bloating... not a good experience...I have thrown the rest of the meat out and will stick to buying individual packages of hamburg meat from my grocer... currently on day two of bloating, cramps, gas, and diarrhea... I have only had symptons like this one other time and it was from contaminated beef at work years ago...not fun.

I've purchased the 90/10 ground beef by the case before. It was cheaper by the pound and comes in the same 10 pound tube/roll that is in the refrigerated shelves. I was very happy with my purchase. I break down the ground beef into one pound portions and freeze. However the tube/roll that was purchased on 5/21 had a much coarser grind, there were chunks of fat that some how missed the grinding plate. I have a meat grinder and it was having difficulty pushing the meat through the medium plate. I had to dismantle, clear and run it through the grinder again. I did a total of three 1-pound batches and it was the second batch that I had a problem with. The first and last batch went through with no problem, so the issue is whatever was in the second batch when I broke it down.

definitely frozen! we can't cut through the middle of the log!
