[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched to the Google Nest Doorbell (Gen 3, Wired), and overall, I'm very pleased with the upgrade. The video quality is super clear, and the recording reliability has been excellent—both of which are far superior to my experience with Ring. Pros: • Extremely clear, high-quality footage • Very reliable motion detection and recording • Outperforms Ring in both clarity and consistency • Includes a wedge for angled mounting, which made positioning the camera much easier Cons: • Setup took longer than expected • Existing holes from my Ring doorbell didn't align, so I had to drill new holes into the brick • Even after installation, navigating the app to view recordings took some extra maneuvering • Only stores about 3 hours of footage for free—a paid subscription is needed for meaningful use Despite the setup frustrations and limited free storage, the overall performance easily outweighs the drawbacks. It ultimately outscores Ring, and I'll be investing in additional Nest cameras for outdoor use as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great video doorbell! Compared to ring, it is thinner than what I've used previously, looks nicer, and is more compatible with other products with more features. It's a little tricky to install compared to a battery camera, but once you have it installed you don't have to worry about it staying powered. Nice that it has a high resolution compared to a battery camera! I can see well even if the weather is bad. I haven't fully integrated it but it's a plus that you can use it with a bunch of google home items!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tested the Google Nest Doorbell (3rd Gen, wired) and it's definitely a step up in clarity and smart features. The 2K HDR video is sharp and wide enough to catch everything happening at my doorstep, and I love that the AI-powered alerts can tell me if it's a person, package, or even a pet. Installation was straightforward since it's wired, but that also means there's no battery option—so flexibility is limited if you don't already have wiring in place. The two-way audio is clear, and I've had smooth conversations with delivery drivers without any lag. One thing to note: many of the advanced features (like extended video history and smarter AI summaries) require a Google Home subscription, which feels like a downside if you want the full experience. Overall, this doorbell is perfect for anyone already in the Google Home ecosystem who values crisp video and reliable alerts. If you prefer a battery-powered option or don't want to pay for a subscription, you might want to explore alternatives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband installed this but on our door behind the glass because we didn't want it to get wet or dusty. But as you could see in the picture it still has great quality and could see the whole yard. I love how you could change the doorbell ring to festive rings and gives notifications and recordings from that day without a subscription.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product! It's so user friendly and the quality is amazing! Battery life is great and it doesn't drain fast. It's amazing how it can detect people and products through the camera. I definitely recommend it if you want high quality camera and not on a budget.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched from a Ring device and I am very impressed by the Nest doorbell. The device was easy to install and produces super crisp images and sound. The value is unbeatable given the high quality of this device. My street is not super well lit, and the night vision is very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so glad I was able to try this nest device out! Last year I had several packages stolen off my front door at my apartment. This device made me feel a lot more secure after the easy set up because I could reliably see movement outside my door. I was also able to connect to it very easily with lovely audio sound. Definitely recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with the Nest Doorbell (Wired, 3rd Gen). The video quality is sharp both day and night, and the wide field of view makes it easy to see everything at the door. The build feels solid and premium, and installation was straightforward. Notifications come through quickly, and the motion detection is accurate without too many false alerts. It integrates smoothly with the Google Home app, which makes checking the live view and recordings super convenient. Overall, it's a reliable and well-designed doorbell that adds peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this doorbell. This actually isn't my first Nest doorbell (I purchased the 3rd gen battery-powered one prior to this!), so I was extremely happy to get this one. The battery-powered one, in my experience, dies really quickly. Perhaps it's because I live on a busier road, but I found that the battery would be depleted within a week. The wired version got rid of this issue for me, which has been a major relief. It is a bit harder to install, which can be frustrating, but it is absolutely worth it for me. The Nest app is easy to use and I found that the camera and mic quality are pretty good. I think this is a fantastic video doorbell and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] —reliable, smart, and crystal clear I've been extremely happy with the Google Nest Wired Doorbell. The video quality is sharp and clear both day and night, and the HDR really helps capture details like faces and packages. The night vision is especially impressive. I love how seamlessly it integrates with the Google Home app—getting instant notifications, talking through the doorbell, and checking live video is quick and easy. The intelligent alerts for people, packages, and motion are accurate and cut down on unnecessary notifications. Installation was straightforward, and since it's wired, I never have to worry about charging batteries. The design is sleek and modern, and it looks great on my front door. Overall, this doorbell feels reliable, secure, and well worth the investment. If you're already in the Google ecosystem, this is an excellent choice.
