[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler absolutely lovesss this bed. The quality of this bed puts my crunchy momma mind at ease with the non toxic coating and natural wood. It's well designed, well made, and was relatively easy to assemble (it was literally user error, but my husband had no problem once he got home). Our favorite part of the bed is the design, baby boy has had so much fun getting cozy in it, and loves making forts with the frame. I was super skeptical changing him to a toddler bed just because I was worried he wouldn't feel comfortable or safe, but we had no issues transitioning to this bed because he could make it feel cozy and like his own. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this bed set up in my 21 month old's bedroom for a few weeks now and so far, we love it! Here are a few of my thoughts: - the bed shipped quickly and without any hiccups - the box was easy enough to handle by myself so I could maneuver it into the room just fine while my husband was at work - putting the bed together was a bit tricky (but I think it was mostly due to user error). I was building the bed while my toddler was running around and trying to help and so I wasn't paying as close attention to the instructions as I should have. I ended up having to rebuild the A-frame top part of the bed three different times. Oops. This is part of the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. - The other reason it didn't quite get 5 stars is that the wood feels cheap and soft. Since I did have to take apart the pieces a few times, there are some indents on the wood from how I had them lined up incorrectly (see photos for reference). I didn't tighten the bolts too tight (I did it by hand using the tools provided). The wood is just very soft and will show small dents quickly. This is kind of a bummer considering it's a bed for small kiddos and they tend to be rough on things. - I do love that the bed can convert into a play hut and bed frame separately. We have it set up in one piece now, but I love that it's an option to adjust it in the future. -my toddler loves the bed and sometimes he has a hard time falling asleep because he just wants to play on the bed. - I love how easy it is to lay next to my toddler while he falls asleep. I don't have to stick my hand awkwardly though the crib bars. Now I can just hold his hand and stroke his back while he falls asleep and we are both more comfortable. - the bed fits a normal size crib mattress perfectly and I'm not worried about small things falling and getting stuck between the bed and the mattress and I know my son won't get his hand stuck or get hurt on it. - Please also note that the bed has a maximum weight of 50 pounds. I was hoping that it could be something I could sit on with my child to read stories and things but I have to sit next to it instead. The mattress sits directly on the floor, but I'm sure the weight limit is because of a strain on the side rails. - Overall, I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a whimsies style toddler bed! The Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed arrived with alphabetically labeled pieces, one-size screws for the entire setup, wooden pegs, and nuts, which made the assembly fairly straightforward and easy to understand. The only tool needed was the included Allen wrench. I was able to put it together by myself, although having a second person would have made it even easier. From unboxing to completion of the base and attached canopy structure, the assembly took me 1 hour and 22 minutes. The bed fit my standard-size crib mattress perfectly and stabilized it well on the floor. I have the white model and found the non-toxic coating to be smooth and sturdy. Assembling the frame was simple because all of the materials fit neatly into their designated spots. The instruction manual was concise and included clear, helpful pictures that guided me step-by-step, along with instructions on how to separate the base from the A-frame if needed. If there were one thing I would change about the assembly, it would be to include a few extra screws or nuts in case one is misplaced in the future. The product included exactly the right number of pieces, but having spares would be helpful. I love the clean, modern look of this bed. Growing up, I remember being jealous of friends who had canopy beds because they could drape fabric over them to create a luxurious feel or added privacy. The A-frame design on this toddler bed adds a similar fun element of imagination. I have twin toddlers who were excited to test this bed. My son is an escape artist when it comes to his crib, so he loved how easily he could crawl in and out of the bed. I appreciated how safely he could do so with the crib rails gone. He recognized his crib mattress and understood that this was a place for sleep, and he also enjoyed pulling himself up on the sides of the frame. My daughter was more hesitant about the design compared to her crib. She struggled with sleeping in it at first because she viewed it more as a play area than a sleep space. I even invited one of her stuffed animals to join her to encourage rest, but she didn't quite make the connection. That said, she really enjoyed it for play. When I draped a blanket over the bed to make a fort, both twins loved playing together inside. What I love most about this toddler bed is the peace of mind it provides, knowing my children can safely rest and play independently. Because the bed sits on the floor, I could also comfortably rest my head while they played and climbed around me. I also appreciated how sleek, simple and aesthetically pleasing the bed looks. It doesn't look cheap or plasticky like some toddler beds. Overall, the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed is a great product for transitioning a child from a crib to a toddler bed.
