I had an older Duo that really began to stink because of my dogs hair so I decided to upgrade. I have hardwood floors with Ruggable® rugs throughout the house, they're very thin and more like a material. The first time I use this it grabbed hold of the rug and wouldn't let loose the suction was so strong, it works best for me and eco mode on those particular rugs. The rug manufacturer recommends no beater bars, but on that mode it seems to be well enough not to damage the carpet. I was a little disappointed that you have to cycle through the suction speeds rather than being able to choose bare floors or rugs like the old version. The old version used to let you pick your suction power, which I found more useful for me. Don't get me wrong I love the product, it works so good I can't believe how much dirt and dog hair picks up, I use this for my daily cleaning and then bring out the big guns once a week. I see some reviews said the battery didn't last very long, I am disappointed that you only get one battery, previous versions you had a charging station for two batteries. I did find that I be able to do the whole house twice on eco mode without having to charge, it would have been nice to have a spare.

I bought this yesterday and used it today. Battery immediately dropped from 100% to 80% as soon as I turned it on. I have a golden retriever puppy and was expecting good hair pickup. The hair bunched up at the front and I had to stop and turn it over, pull the hair out and then let it pick it up. I wanted to love this so much but the battery life alone is so disappointing. Again, all I did was power it on and it went from 100% to 80%. So disappointing.

I bought this 2 weeks ago. I should have stuck with the Vertex I had before. At least that model was reliable. This one, brand new, the battery almost immediately goes from 100% to 80% in the blink of an eye. I barely get 15 minutes of run time out of it and then it takes 3+ hours to get a full charge. I vacuum daily because I have 4 kids and a husband who works at a saw mill. My house isn't overy dirty but I want it to STAY that way. When I can barely get a room and a half done before the battery runs out that is a huge problem. Remember, I vacuum DAILY. To top it all off I can't even get a second battery because it has been out of stock for 3 weeks since I ordered it. I previously had the Shark Vertex. It came with 2 batteries and I could get my whole house done. I'll give the Stratos two stars because it's cleaning power really is impressive. At least it is when it's working.

Our favorite vacuum! Now we have two of these. Best vacuum ever!

The Shark Stratos cordless vacuum is excellent! I can clean the whole house with a single charge. I highly recommend it.u

Yes, I'm very happy I'm always happy with shark products. They stand behind everything that I have purchased.

There are cordless vacuums and there is THIS !!!! This is crazy perfect ! Can wait to get the new ice cream machine and food processor

This vacuum has a lot of suction! I also love the cordless feature. I hope it lasts a long time, like my other shark rocket.

I loved this vacuum until it broke. The hinge to fold it in half cracked. I am assuming this happens to people often as it is on back order. Now I'm back to using my previous vacuum until the part comes back in stock.

It's a good vacuum except for the battery.  Initially the battery lasts fairly well.  Unfortunately, the battery does. It last very long and it is difficult to find replacements.  Shark is “out of stock”. Not happy about yget
