I've had this for nearly 6 months and, for whatever reason, must unplug-and-plug in (every time) to power on the unit. Annoying, to say the least. I am going to wear out the electrical socket before too long. The outlet is on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. Does this require 20 amps or what?! I, anyway, otherwise LOVE the build quality of this item: solid as a rock. I bought this (and another for my daughter too) strictly for the Creamiccino mode, which was the attraction for me (although expensive). My first batch ended up leaking/running out of the "tub", which was a heck of a mess. I adhered to the recipe, exactly, and did not exceed the Drinkable Freeze Fill ( 1 ) and Pour-In ( 2 ) level lines. SO my first experience with this machine was regrettable: especially since the tub's locking lugs engage open cutouts in the bottom of Outer Bowl―poor design or corner-cutting in manufacture, resulting in a MESSi situation. Mixture ran directly into gap between bowl platform and housing's base. Needless to say, I was angry... PLEASE close those cutouts in the next iteration!! I, anyway, persevered (and refined the recipe). My wife and I are now enjoying my home-made Frappes, regularly, but the power-on procedure is frustrating.

I bought this about a month ago and have made several different ice creams and sherbets. I am kicking myself for not having an ice cream maker before. It is so easy, doesn't take much time at all. I am making high quality ice cream with high quality ingredients that I control at a fraction of the cost of a good store bought ice cream.

Tried for the first time tonight after prepping pints more than 24 hours ago. I verified that my freezer is indeed within the temperature stated in the book. But even after more than 24 hours, the ice cream came out liquid. Thinner than a milk shake even. Back in the freezer to harden again. Tried the second one with a mix-in. This one was still too thin to scoop, but slightly thicker than the first. I just shoved some chopped peanut butter cups into the middle. Couldn't scoop out the center like the directions state because it's too liquidy. Despite selecting “full,” the mix-in cycle only mixed the top half of the pint. No candy made it to the bottom. We ate some of this one anyway, but put the rest back in the freezer to harden more. I'm guessing that my freezer needed to be even colder even though it was 8-9 degrees, which is within the specified range. I bumped my upright freezer down in temp and will try again. Disappointed because I got this on the review of my brother who loves his. If you try this, make sure your freezer is below 0° to ensure it freezes extra hard, I guess? That's what I'm going to try and hope it works. As for the volume…it isn't even as loud as my Ninja blender, so I'm not upset by how loud it is. I wish the recipes were more fool proof. The other issue I had was that with cold milk and cream, the sugar and cocoa powder wouldn't dissolve at all when mixing. It just clumped up. I had to heat the chocolate ice cream mixture up in order to get it to dissolve the sugar and cocoa. Then I had to let it cool again before sticking in the freezer.

I love the ninja. I made my first icecream using a TikTok recipe with my classroom and the kids as well as the adults loved it. The only problem there was a slight metallic taste after each spoonful. I attributed the after task to the blade, but upon reading a few reviews I believe it was the containers

I am so ecstatic that I FINALLY pulled the plug and ordered this! I have been obsessed with creating different recipes and learning from other Ninja Creami users! My husband is an ice cream lover and he'd gladly eat ice cream every day for dessert, but the calories and sugar content in GOOD TASTING store bought ice creams interfered with his healthy food choices. He now is more obsessed with this Creami than he anticipated because he can create his own recipes and therefore he knows exactly what ingredients he's putting into them. He's like a kid in a candy store! We are both so thrilled to have this Creami and I only wished I had purchased it sooner!

I found the instructions and actual use of the product easy to follow. I have followed some of the recipes you had available but I've also created some of my own. Ice cream is my downfall and so glad now I have control of the different types and flavors.

We are having so much fun playing around with Bess. My goal was to be able to make some lower fat ice cream's, and I'm having trouble getting the right texture. Sorbets are an awesome texture. But I haven't quite mastered the low fat or no fat yogurt and I have an experimented with non-dairy milks yet obviously the full fat, heavy cream versions are delicious. It's super easy to use!

I bought this because I love ice cream but am doing low carb / keto mix. It makes creating a recipe I like into good ice cream. Have used for sorbet too. This will really help in summer when I crave those frozen pops loaded with sugar. I can now make a non sugar low carb version.
