Be aware that the blades are super sharp, so work with caution. The set up was seconds long and the moment you turn it on, the functions are simple and easy to follow. It comes with two containers with lids which is great. The lids do not snap tight which means there can be spills, so keep in mind they aren't that secure. Place them in the freezer upright and you will be ok. The machine is capable of making different dessert options, but desserts that taste so much healthier. You can mix in cottage cheese and make bomb desserts. This machine will be overused this summer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been testing this for several months and have made almost every recipe in the included digital cookbook. I am a former professional baker and have been making homemade ice cream regularly for decades using a normal ice cream maker. I prefer a custard base, which is kind of a pain to make due to tempering eggs etc. Almost all the NutriBullet's included recipes don't contain eggs, and are thus much faster and easier to prepare. While many of the recipes were delicious on their own, I did find something lacking in the ice cream recipes specifically. They tasted good, but reminded me more of grocery store ice cream than homemade. If you are not accustomed to homemade, this machine's ice cream would be phenomenal! However, I have found the ease of use and time savings of this machine to outweigh a slightly disappointing product, and have not used my old machine at all since I got this one. Overall, it is an excellent way to make a variety of tasty cold treats easily and quickly, and I would recommend it. Pros: 1. Convenient, easy, and fast. Most recipes are simply dumping all the ingredients into the blender cup and freezing. It takes minutes and there is minimal cleanup. 2. This provides delicious results, particularly the fruit sorbets which are the perfect silky texture! 3. The device itself has an attractive and sleek modern design and setup consists of merely plugging it in. It is also high quality, and I have no doubt it will last a long time. I especially appreciate the suction cups on the bottom of the machine to prevent movement. 4. The machine settings are fast, and seem to range from 3-6 minutes. No churning for 30-45 minutes like a regular machine. Cons: 1. It is LOUD. By far the loudest appliance I own. So loud it hurts my ears to be in the same room. Our house is small so I have to go outside when I turn this on, seriously. Thankfully the settings are short. 2. Two of the recipes I made did not mix well. There were areas of ice chunks that were grainy and not the same smooth consistency as the rest. The lemon sorbet, for example, was completely inedible, and I had to throw it away. I don't think this was the result of user error. 3. The parts are all mostly hand wash, which for me is a con. 4. It is slightly large in size and takes up a fair amount of storage space. 5. The cups are kind of small, but the perfect amount for two people. Normally when I make ice cream it is for a special occasion or celebration, so there is a group of people. It is possible to make a double batch using both cups, but even then it is not enough for more than 4-6 people.

It also has a sleek design that looks nice if you want to leave it out on the shelf all the time. We made some yummy birthday cake ice cream on our first try using it and really enjoyed it!

Unfortunately I don't love that you have to blend fruit in a separate blender, then freeze, then use this machine. It just feels like a lot of dishes, and doesn't explain this overtly so someone could buy this not knowing they need to have a blender in order to make any fruit sorbets or fruit items. For any fully liquid items you would not need to blend first. I made banana ‘nice' cream and the machine did work well and make it super creamy. The machine itself is very loud but powerful. I will keep using for sure but for the cost I feel like it should be able to blend and make the ice cream in one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This NutriBullet Chill Ice Cream Maker comes with the motor base, the blade ensemble, two pint cups, lids for the freezer, blade cover, recipe sheet, instruction manual, registration paperwork, and safety paperwork. Setup is simple. Wash lids, blade ensemble, and cups. Do not submerge the the motor base. Once you decide on a recipe and type of chill you want to make, then you mix up your ingredients, and add them to the cup(s) making sure you fill them at least to the MIN line and not over the MAX line. Going below the MIN or above the MAX lines can damage your NutriBullet Chill. After filling the cup(s), put on the lid(s) and set them in the freezer, making sure they are level. Let them freeze for at least 24 hours. When you remove them, remove them one at a time, if you made 2 cups, and immediately use it on the NutriBullet Chill. Not doing so can damage the machine. Once you put the blade ensemble on the cup, put it on the motor base. You will then turn on the motor base and select which type of Chill you are making. The choices are: Ice Cream, Sorbet, Frozen Yogurt, Gelato, and Smoothie Bowl Each setting has a built in timer and will cut off when the timer is done. When it is finished, make sure it has stopped before you remove the blade ensemble. Once you remove the blade ensemble, place it in the lid. You can enjoy your Chill right out of the cup or put it on a bowl, dish, or other serving container. Pros: The NutriBullet Chill Ice Cream Maker is easy to setup and operate It is fast. It is versatile. Cons: You have to make your Chill and freeze it for 24 hours and add it to the pint jar before it ever touches the once cream maker. I'm not sure what the ice cream makers purpose is besides changing the consistency of the frozen Chill. It's very loud. Summary. If you follow the instructions the NutriBullet Chill Ice Cream Maker will do what it says it will do, but I don't see it being a true ice cream maker at all. I see making the ice cream or other Chill, and freezing it for 24 hours, then putting the cup on the NutriBullet Chill, and it changing the consistency of the frozen dessert. I don't see how I can call it an ice cream maker. I followed a vanilla gelato recipe and although it tasted great, after putting it on the NutriBullet Chill, the consistency was awful. I tried two other recipes to see how they would work in the NutriBullet Chill. A sorbet recipe and an ice cream recipe. They both did the same thing the vanilla gelato recipe did; which was taste great, but turn to a poor consistency. I wanted to like this NutriBullet Chill a lot, as I love to make homemade protein smoothies, ice cream, and frozen desserts, but it's not quite what I expected.

I did the chocolate gelato recipe since it seemed like a pretty simple one to start with and it was delicious! The machine itself was extremely easy to use. The set up was simple. Just take it out of the box, assemble the ingredients, wait a day then push a button. The value seems worth it to me
