This thermostat would measure a range from 96-100 if you took your temperature multiple times within a few seconds in the very same place. Even when using it properly, the measurements would still vary. It's pretty bad that I paid so much for it when a $15 thermostat from Amazon works better. I bought this in store thinking it would be a good one. Don't buy this.

I needed this for work. It's a contact reader, but I decided to keep it because it sounded likely to be accurate and I can sanitize it. In my air-conditioned office, it doesn't work properly. It usually reads 85 degrees, occasionally jumps up to 95 or 96. I've read the instructions to troubleshoot, but they haven't helped. I've given up and am going to buy another. I gave it 2 stars because it works well enough in my home (off by maybe 2 degrees) when there is no air conditioning going. I can make use of it during Covid.

This item gives an accurate reading but is not easy to use. For adults, it is fine. I would recommend something different for young children because this one has to stay in contact with skin as you move it across the forehead. For a sick child who doesn't want to be really still, this one will be difficult for an accurate reading.

What a piece of overpriced junk! It's difficult to hold properly when attempting to use on someone else, especially a wiggly child. It gives wildly different temps each time it's used. Tried 4 times, got 4 differents temps with variances of /- 3 degrees. It's too easy to change the settings on it accidently so if you do buy one, keep the instructions because you'll need them! I spent $40 on this hunk of junk and after a year of frustration, just pitched it in the trash and came here to write this review. Absolute garbage!

Just like the other 1 star reviews....this is just completely useless. I've tried it on 4 different occasions and it has NEVER given me a temperature that would indicate I'm actually alive. It reads 83-91 no matter what I do. Right before I wrote this I tested it on my forehead. I started in the middle at the same spot 3 times and slowly moved it across my forehead 3 separate times. The results were 87, 83, 86

Long lasting battery. Durable and reliable.

Seems to be very nice...havent used it much yet but I like it! Its exactly what I wanted.
