This was a replacement for the V12. This model is larger then the V12. A lot heavier and awkward to use. I am not fond of the new power head. This has the larger rubber wrap on the back side. When operating, it will stop the rotary due to the amount of suction it creates. However, I do like the canister clean-out better.

Ordered this to replace our old V15 but the performance and quality seem to be lower than the one it's replacing. Barely bump the roller brush and it makes a terrible noise, and must be from the thin plastic deforming around the powered roller. We did not have this on our original V15, so a lot has changed in the 5+ years since our original cleaner.

Okay, let's talk about the Dyson V15 Detect. It's the Rolls Royce of vacuum cleaners, except instead of plush leather seats, it has a laser beam. A LASER BEAM! This sucker illuminates the microscopic dust particles lurking on your floors like some kind of CSI: Dust Edition. I'm not sure how Dyson measures invisible dust, but I'm pretty sure my previous vacuum was operating under the assumption that if you can't see it, it doesn't exist. I thought my hardwood floors were reasonably clean, but it revealed I was living in a microscopic dust jungle. The digital display on the V15 gamifies vacuuming. It shows you what particles you're sucking up – dust mites, pollen, pet dander, the hopes and dreams of failed dust bunnies…it's satisfying to watch. The Dyson V15 Detect is an investment. You could probably buy a small car for the price of this thing, but the thrill of hunting down invisible dust with a laser beam is WORTH IT!

I have had for a month now. I do find it powerful. i do wish the light was on both floor attachments. I had a bit of a problem with the wand attachment to the dust bin; it seemed very tight, and it took a bit of force to get it apart. You need to take that off whenever you empty. I sprayed with D40, and that has helped lots. I do find i use the one powerhead more than the other, and that one doesn't have a light. I just find with my goldens that seem to pick up more without going over twice..so do miss the light part. Besides that, it's a great machine. I will only have a Dyson in our home; we have 4 Goldens, and I need a great machine. This would be my 3rd Dyson, 2nd battery one, and my other plug-in is still going strong, also, after 10 years.

Very impressed with the power of this vacuum. We've had the Dyson V8 for several years and like it a lot however, the amount of dirt & dust picked up by the new V15 was amazing! Way more powerful, and the LED on wood floors really does work by illumination everything (and I mean everything) on the wood floor.

So glad that I got a Cordless vacuum. Love the light where it shows where you need to vacuum. Wish it had a little bit more suction on that. The attachment for the rugs is the best that I have ever encountered one swipe and it gets everything it has very good suction.

Very happy with the vacuum so far. Beware! The green light that shows all the dust and hair can trigger anxiety for people that thought their house was clean! Just kidding! It is great! The pet hair tool is wonderful for removing hair from pet beds and couch covers. I have actually used the multi function head when I want to vacuum but don't want to see all the hair and dust I may be missing! 🤪

ot the Dyson V15 about a week ago, and I'm really glad I did — I definitely needed it. The suction power on this vacuum is amazing and feels even stronger than the one I had before. The 60-minute run time is perfect for my home, so I don't have to keep stopping to plug it in again.

So glad I finally bought the cordless stick as I don't dread vacuuming so much. The dust light is amazing: 1. It is hard to believe how much dust and hair actually accumulate that you don't see without the light 2. The vacuum gets everything and the house feels cleaner than any other vacuum I have used and that includes a central vacuum system. Hand held section is great for stairs, and it is easy to empty the bin without feeling like you walked thru a dust cloud.

I bought my 1st Dyson vacuum 25yrs ago when I bought my 1st home and it still works just as well. Now that I am in a condo I wanted something with less of a footprint. I am once again super impressed and very proud of my choice. The tech is awesome but I put a smile on my face eveytime I pull it out (more than often) now. Being able to see the difference it makes on my rugs and floors is the most satisfying thing. I have a little issue with the wall mount not clicking in place but I'll have to reach out to Dyson about that.
