We just got this and it's roomy and sleek, it generally does an ok job.... but our daughter is reporting that the clasps will often pop open if she drops or bumps her backpack. Maybe it's because we're "overpacking it" but the only thing we've packed that's too wide for the depth of the box has been a hardboiled egg. That give you an idea of the room on this thing. TL;DR Good size width and length, but depth it lacking and the clasps cause it to open too easily

This is extremely heavy! I do not want my child carrying this by itself let alone with their backpack of things they already have to carry. The latches also are not a simple open and close. You have to manipulate the top to align and then close it. This is not for young children.

The stainless steel interior looks nice but the lunch box is very large and heavy. One of the main issues is the the exterior of the plain stainless steel model gets covered in fingerprints so easily which makes it look dirty all the time. The options with colored surfaces have a lot of review noting the pain getting chipped easily but some sort of silicone cover at least on the top surface would look so much nicer. The second issue is that it's very difficult for a child to close the box properly. You have to pull the cover out slightly before you close it in order for it to shut completely and a 5 year old may have a hard time doing that.

Great lunchbox, doesn't leak! - have bought one for each of my kids. I wish wish my daughter hadn't accidentally thrown the silicone container in the trash when she cleaned up her lunch. Would be nice to have a few of the silicone containers included :)

I like the lunchbox. I prefer stainless over plastic, and I chose to try it because it is leak resistant, unlike our Planetbox. It is an overall nice design, though it does have some plastic parts. It is a bit heavy, and the suction makes it somewhat difficult to open, but it doesn't leak! The compartments are a bit awkward, I definitely prefer the spaces on Planetbox over this one. It works well without leaking, holds a variety of food, and is better than plastic.

What I love about this lunch box is the stainless steel that's easy to wash and good for the environment. I bought two for my 4 yr old and 7 yr old, hoping they can use them for many years. What I have discovered is that they are very heavy, especially for my 4 year old to carry in a backpack everyday. My 7 year old complains that there is no handle so it's hard to carry it to the lunchroom. And lastly, because there is no room for an ice-pack, if send cheese or hummus it is warm by the time the kids have lunch and they won't eat it.

Exactly what I was looking for! I've been searching for a leakproof stainless steel lunch box for my son who was about to start his preschool and none of the brands I considered met all of these simple (in my opinion) criterias. The only leakproof option was also Bentgo but it was BPA-free plastic. I almost gave up and was going to buy the one that was stainless steel but not leakproof when accidentally found out about this new product by Bentgo! I couldn't be happier! I also got a new Bentgo 2-in-1 backpack and lunch bag and am super happy with it too! It says that the lunch box is dishwasher safe but I'd still recommend to hand wash it and I'm sure it will last for many years!

I absolutely love this stainless steel Bentgo lunch box. It's incredibly durable and feels very high quality — perfect for daily use. Bought this for my young toddler for preschool. I have been searching for a stainless steel option for awhile with no luck and this seems to be the best I've found. So glad bentgo started making stainless options! It is Larger and heavier than expected and will not fit inside our current lunchbox (pottery barn kids.) But that's really the only downside. I would recommend this to anyone trying to get away from all the plastic options!

Great and durable material! It's the reason I was drawn to these lunch boxes. The downside, they're not leak proof, and they're too bulky for traditional lunch boxes. I tried to be eco-friendly by refusing my child's previous lunch box, and it did not work. Overall, I wouldn't buy anymore products because my experience; there was a huge mess in my child's backpack (due to leaking) and it spilled all over their homework. It was a total disaster.
