Really like the magnetic base, although you do have to get it set in right. Stays clean and ready to use. I typically use the Mach 5 blades. This one felt a little rough to start with the exfoliating bar, but I'm used to all blade. So I've come to like the exfoliating bar, seems to keep the blade grounded and engaged for a clean pass. I'd buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the handle and the dock for this razor are made of a very solid, hefty metal. They do not feel cheap at all. The handle has a nice anti-slip texture where you would place your fingers and the razor head release is very positive. The 4 way pivoting head is a nice addition, moving forward to back and tilting from left to right. The 5 blades of the razor are clean and sharp, as I have come to expect from Gillette. Also included is the rear side detailing razor for the sideburns, etc. This is a feature that I think should be standard on all high end razors. I can't speak as to whether or not the exfoliating bar on the razor makes much of a difference for me. What I can say is that the overall feel and performance of this razor is that of high quality. This razor is definitely worth putting on your list and would be well received by a loved one.
