With streaming apps available on it your not restricted to only using it for a blu ray player. The player comes in handy to have for anyone that has discs of memories or movies we need access to. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this to be simple to use and just play my Blu-rays and other DVDs and this is good for that. I was able to assemble it easily. It is very quiet as well. No grinding noise or disturbances. I had to connect it to the internet to upgrade before use. You will need a cable to connect to the TV which is not included. The downsides are that, it is too light weight and small. Also it does not have wireless WIFI access, must be wired with LAN cable. Overall it serves the purpose for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to get a blu-ray player because my old one was acting up. First off, I love the size. It is nice and compact. My old one was huge. It was easy to set up. My son actually set it up for me and thought it was super easy. I love the remote is small too, but has all the functions you need on it. Even buttons for Netflix. I love that it is wired so that you can stream right from this to get more content. I also like that you can show things from the USB option. That is neat to get pictures, etc. from there. Overall, I think it is a nice, very compact player that should have all the functions you need. I think it was worth it.

One of the movies in particular had scenes that were way better than you see on a regular DVD. The sound quality was excellent! I enjoyed watching movies in a different platform.

I was very pleased with the picture and audio quality, on top of that it comes with preloaded apps for streaming service. I am very happy with my new purchase and would definitely recommend.

This blue ray player is light weight and includes almost everything you need to get started, even batteries for the remote. The picture is clear and their are many apps that come pre installed. The only thing I wish were different is that this was a wireless setup. I wanted to put this in my boys room and realized that it is a wired only set up meaning it can't be too far from your internet router. Other than that this really is a great Blue-ray disc player.

I get to watch my blu-ray and dvd's and go right to Netflix and YouTube and more! I no longer need a ton of different things to do what this one product does. Sony is a trusted brand in our home and has never let us down. Easy setup and great quality electronic! I recommend to everyone. It's compact and well made.
