It comes with a remote and even includes the batteries. You connect it to your TV using a HDMI Cable. It also comes with the AC adapter. Once it's all connected and you turn on the player, wait for a short while and the player turns on and starts. Playable discs are Blu-Ray Disc, DVD, and CDs. Various settings and playback operations are available by pressing options on the remote. The Sony Blu-Ray Disc player comes with a one year limited warranty once you register it. You're able to play a disc, play from a USB Device, or via a network. Playable types of files for this Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player are MPEG-1 and MPEG -2 Video, Xvid, MPEG4/AVC, VC1, WMV9 andMotion JPEG. Power requirements are 12 V DC with AC adaptor. Rating: Input 120 V, AC 60 Hz. I highly recommend this Sony Blu-Ray Disc player!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This player has a very compact size which is great. It includes the remote and batteries and power cord. You have to provide the HDMI. Overall, this player is responsive and easy to use. It handles Blu-rays very well. The upsampling from standard definition to high-def is only fair though. But that is to be expected at this price point. The internet connection is wired, but can add many more streaming apps if you don't have a smart TV which is nice. This is very good starter Blu-ray player.

I also put one of the dvds on for the kids and get some great family time with them for movie nights for the second tv in the spare room. I highly recommend this one to any family

It really combines modern and old times and is good for watching family movies new and old. This is great because it works for regular DVD's in addition to blue ray and the quality can't be beat. I love how easy it was to set up and am so happy to have a DVD player again to play all the classic movies from my childhood.

You can watch Netflix and Youtube videos by hooking up your internet with a ethernet cable. Set up is easy. The DVD remote is also compact but easy to navigate. I was able to connect my LED flat screen tv with an HDMI cable directly to the Sony DVD player and it was good to go. Quick loading disc tray. Played a DVD and the picture quality is excellent. Overall, this is a excellent Blue-ray DVD disc player from Sony. Nice clean design. Solid build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about three weeks ago for my husband. For him to take to his hunting property where they don't have cable or good recitation. So I'm not good with these kind of things. When I went him I wanted to watch a move and had to set it up all by myself. I was surprised how easy it was and to work it was just as easy. I was so happy I got to watch my movie.

I also like the "child lock" feature so my kid doesn't play with the disc's or put poptarts in the machine. It has all the basic features and its really nice to connect to Netflix. I only wish it connected wireless. It comes with the basic cords and they are easily obtained if you need anymore. I am happy with my purchase and plan to recommend.

It hooks directly to the tv and I can use it to contact to providers that are not included in my tv package such as Netflix, YouTube and other various services. It has a direct Internet connection right in the back of the machine. It is very compact and sleek looking in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Without realizing it over the past several years I've come down to only having tech products that don't include any sort of tangible access to movies like with a DVD or Blu-ray which has become a problem for me whenever I find a great one on sale as a disc but not digitally. Thankfully this disc player solved the problem with not only giving crisp detailed video quality but combined with direct access to Netflix and Youtube so I can continue streaming on the same device without having to switch. Would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony Blu-ray disc player with streaming capabilities was easy to set up and use. It's lightweight and small - measures approximately 7 1/2 x 9 inches so it takes up very little space, which is nice. It has a great picture and sound. However, I was extremely disappointed once I went to set it up and realized that it requires a HDMI cable which is not included. There are pictures on the side of the box, one which shows an ethernet cable and states that it is not included but the only place you will see that the HDMI cable is required and sold separately is in a paragraph in small writing. (See picture) I'm sure I'm not the only person that did not notice this until later.
