[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the size of this player, it's nice and small and it doesn't take up much space. It plays both dvd and blu-ray discs and has nice picture quality. I will say, it requires an hdmi cable to connect to the TV, but it does not include one in the box which is a bit of an inconvenience. The setup is quite easy, I had no issues with connectivity or once playing the discs, and batteries for the remote are included. The player has streaming capabilities but it uses a wired connection, so an ethernet cable is needed to connect to the internet. I personally don't mind as I will mostly use it to play blu-rays, but if you would like to use the streaming features, keep that in mind because Sony does offer a wireless version as well.

It comes with a remote and even includes the batteries. You connect it to your TV using a HDMI Cable. It also comes with the AC adapter. Once it's all connected and you turn on the player, wait for a short while and the player turns on and starts. Playable discs are Blu-Ray Disc, DVD, and CDs. Various settings and playback operations are available by pressing options on the remote. The Sony Blu-Ray Disc player comes with a one year limited warranty once you register it. You're able to play a disc, play from a USB Device, or via a network. Playable types of files for this Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player are MPEG-1 and MPEG -2 Video, Xvid, MPEG4/AVC, VC1, WMV9 andMotion JPEG. Power requirements are 12 V DC with AC adaptor. Yes, you do need an ethernet cable, and we were aware of that when we got it. The sound and picture quality is good, and it is easy to use. The remote is rather small - that might be a negative to some people but I think it is a good thing. The unit itself is sleek and compact - definitely a good thing. Solid unit that does what I need it to do.

I get to watch my blu-ray and dvd's and go right to Netflix and YouTube and more! I no longer need a ton of different things to do what this one product does. Setup was really simple and we find the Netflix and other streaming options to be super convenient. Nice and small but powerful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a number of years since I've purchased a dedicated disc player as I've had game consoles that can do the job. This unit was easy to set up and does it's job like it should. I was surprised to find that streaming options are included in BR players nowadays, but it's a cool option. I think the best thing about this player is the flippy door that covers the disc drawer. Nice to keep dust out. I also really like the design of the machine. It's very compact and sleek compared to players of yore.

I was going to buy a newer TV but the one I wanted had sold out guickly. I saw this Sony Blu-ray Disc Player and decided to purchase it since it was a lot cheaper then a new TV. To my surprise, I love it. Now with the added sites I feel like I'm up with the times until I need a new TV. Moving' on up!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trouble shooting and resetting the player by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet for 60 seconds, I still cannot get this Blu Ray player to play blu rays or DVDs. The player is supposed to play both. I used the HDMI to connect player to my smart TV. I am disappointed. The only neat thing about this player is that you can play videos from a USB but I can do that on my smart tv.

It has wifi and can connect to hard wire internet. It sets up extremely easy and plays movies with perfection! Our favorite is the Netflix! I would highly recommend!
