I have not used it yet but the quality seems to be great. Headrest will be great for newborns.

we got this car seat because it was the cheapest. the sunshade never stays up while driving or while in the stroller. the straps get twisted, and the head pillow moves a lot. really not a fan and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Bought this carseat with our first son and we loved it! Easy to use and is compatible with our Mockingbird stroller as long as you get the correct adapters. Have had no troubles with it at all. Looking forward in getting another Graco!

comfortable, safe

I originally bought this carseat because i liked the headrest feature. It seemed safer for my baby and i love the look of the seat. At about four months I noticed that the headrest feature was pushing down on my sons shoulders. When I moved the straps up (another feature I liked that you didn't need to rethread the straps) it would move the headrest higher so it would not push on his shoulders but then the straps were too high for him and no longer safe. It's a design flaw and there is no way around it. Also, the seat increasingly got more difficult to unclick from the base. I stand outside my car sometimes for 5 minutes trying to get the seat out...And when I click the seat into the base it will click in, then I adjust the straps to my son and it always clicks out by itself. This is so unsafe. I did file a warranty claim with Graco and they offered me to pick out a new seat but all the seats are sold out that are of a comparable price. I now have to go buy a new one and send back the seat (with paid shipping) but that means I have to find a big enough box and call fedex for a pickup which is a pain. Overall, I probably won't be buying anything else from Graco. They tried to resolve the issue but they don't really have many options for actual resolution.

used this car seat for 9 months with my first child in 2021 and then installed it for baby #2 and the car seat gets stuck in the base. I finally got it out after pulling with force for almost 10 minutes. It was stored correctly and it should last longer than that but I was told it's not under warranty and I can still use the seat and do a baseless install which is not practical for everyday use. I will not buy or recommend another graco product as they don't stand behind their products.

I like many features of this car seat. The single button handle release being the main one. But my baby is five weeks old and we have used the seat a handful of times. It doesn't take very long for the seat padding to get hot and then I have to stop and take her out to cool off. I know I generally car seat padding gets warm but the placement of the warning labels is completely illogical. Because they aren't fabric labels they get hot quickly and don't promote air flow or heat distribution. Going to try adding a cloth seat cover or cooling pad.

The safety surround really prevents the straps from being able to be at or below baby's shoulders for proper fit. Doesn't seem The most comfortable; baby is kind of crammed in under the surround. The safety surround is quite large so I see there being more issues as he grows. We were drawn to the protection the safety surround would provide but only feel it has made the seat unsafe.
