This was my second one. Didn't last a year. It would freeze up half way through a DVD movie. Thats the same thing that happened to my first one. You get what you pay for.

This abomination is truly an example of "you get what you pay for". The most annoying "feature" (that by the way can NOT be disabled), is the auto power off. You walk away from it on pause for maybe 15 minutes, it'll turn itself off. Then to cycle power, it takes 30 seconds or so. It needs to boot up, then power up the CD section, spin up the CD, then the screen will be blank until you hit play. Then it has to spool up the video. If I had not thrown away the packing material (my luck the trash pick up happened right after I put the box out), I would have returned the unit for a refund. Biggest gripe - that auto off feature that cannot be disabled.

This DVD/CD player does a good job of pkaying a variety of different formats/file types. It is quite slow starting up and beginning to play a disc. The biggest thing I dislike about this unit is that there is no display. You are unable to determine which track is playing on the disc. Overall it's a good very basic CD/DVD player.

Great price, great DVD player, I was trying to beat the system and use it as a CD player on a basement Stereo but unfortunately there is no front panel information, All information is displayed on the television which makes sense since it is a dvd player that also will play CD's. It does play the cd's through my stereo but I have plenty of dvd players I can use.

This is our third try at a good DVD player. First two the we pushed broke. This has been a few months and it still is playing or content and everything seems cool. Happy with value and quality of the DVD player. My husband uses this at his cabin in lu of cable. It's perfect. We own 198643 dvds, so it works out for us. Highly recommend if you need something that works fairly simple and easy to use. Yes, we're older and still have all our of dvds. Highly recommend to purchase this one first! Works good. Reliable. Purchased the protection plan just in case...

I bought this to play cds on, I already have a bd player for movies. I was highly impressed with the quality for the money, in fact it's the best cd player I've ever owned! Now I would like to address an issue I've noticed a lot of customers mentioned in their reviews, the problem getting the disc back out. I figured out the issue, if listening to entire cd to the end simply press open twice, if listening to specific tracks press stop then open. I wished it would've had an LED display to show when the disc was scanned and ready to play, but if you listen close enough you can figure it out.

I didn't purchase this DVD player to view DVD's. I purchased it for playing CD's. This unit is far less expensive than a home CD component and operates just as well. The only advantage a CD component has is the ability to see the the CD's track number: a feature not worth hundreds of dollars more.
