There is only one issue with this that we have found, but it's a big one: the "On" indicator light is so small you cannot see it unless you are standing right over the device. There is no secondary display with info as to what the player is doing (playing, stopped, etc.), so some time we are fiddling with the remote buttons and wondering why it is taking so long for the DVD to start playing, when we realize that the initial "Power On" command didn't take, so it is still off.

Boy, these DVD players keep getting smaller and smaller. Great space saver. Easy setup and use. I got this player specifically for the HDMI feature. As remote controls go, easy enough to use. Excellent picture on my smart TV. The only negative thing I can think of, the on/off indicator light is tiny. At a distance, hard to see. Otherwise, I'm very pleased. As I have so many other options for content, I didn't want to spent a lot for something I would only use occasionally. This player fits the bill.

I bought this product because it was the same one I had been using for years that broke. This one has a few more functions. It is very slim and doesn't take up much space. I looked at the other ones but decided to stay with the same one. Not only was it on sale but the shipping was for free and it arrived the next day! Bravo Walmart!

Reasonably priced, doesn't take up a lot of space, easy setup, works perfectly. Got this to hook up to the small tv in the bedroom. Not overly fond of the remote that comes with this player, but overall very satisfied with my purchase. Would buy again if I needed a DVD player.

Looking at the way this product was presented on line, it looked like this dvd player would play HD movies, i.e. blu ray. I put a hd movie(blue ray) in the dvd player and it would not play. I looked at the box the sony dvd player came in and it stated it would "upscale" regular dvd movies to HD, which was not what I was looking for.

I only purchased this DVD player to watch red box movies and select DVD's i already have. Our family uses the apple TV to stream other movies most often. The DVD player was a decent price - wish it was cheaper than 40 dollars considering most people have blu ray players and other streaming devices to watch movies and etc. regular DVD players are obsolete and should cost less than 30 dollars. I needed it so I bought it to do my T-25 workouts.

I really am enjoying this new player. It has some cool features and it is easy to hook up. Just plug it in to the outlet, plug the HDMI Cable in and it's ready to use. I was even able to play a disc that tried to skip or freeze and this player wouldn't let it. The remote is simple and easy to use. Not to many buttons or functions. And is programmable

I wanted a DVD/CD player to replace a big DVR that I had for about 12 years or longer. While the old one was a huge, this is a nice low profile player that was very easy to set up. I have the HDMI connection from the TV, and the component cables for the audio from my stereo receiver so I can hear through my speakers. You can do that all with the HDMI, but I only have one out HDMI slot on my stereo receiver, being already in use. I like that the player boots right up when I put in a DVD and also can play CDs. I specifically got this because it says plays DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD R etc. I have some DVDs I recorded myself and it plays them. I haven't set any of the settings yet but I don't think I will. I just wanted one that shows a clear picture and doesn't take up much room. The remote is fairly intuitive to figure out, as I did not spend much time reading directions. It is smaller than it looks in the picture. The old one it replaced was huge, a player/recorder with various ways to connect. I guess not much use for recording these days. And boy, prices sure have gotten better than when I got that big one. No complaints, it lasted a long time.

I NEED A DVD PLAYER FOR THE MANY DVD I HAVE NOW. GREAT VALUE, PICTURE IS EXCELLENT.
