This Sony meets my expectations. It works well, produces a good picture and resumes where I pause the program. I wish I'd bought it sooner and would buy it again.

If you still like watching movies on dvd disc, this is the dvd player for you. The upscaling is the best, using just one hdmi cable for hook up. Great picture and sound.

The material is cheaply made, does not set level on surface. The buttons are so small and so flat they hardly work. Takes a long time to turn on and off. Does not play DVDs. Well, it freezes and hesitates during movie. Returned item.

I really liked the small size of the component and the sound it produced was quite good.Unfortunately, the unit I received and the remote control did't function very well.The limited display and lighting is below what I expect.

I really like this DVD player. I chose this one for features and price. really like the fact that I can watch part of a movie and then restart right where I left off. Other players did not have this feature.

Bought this Sony DVD player to replace one that we gave away to a family member. We wanted to buy an inexpensive one that was dependable and would upscale to 1080p. We use it in our bedroom and it works as advertised.

It won't play DVDs that have a number of episodes on each disc, so there goes Star Trek the Next Generation and Firefly. What's up with this? getting the DVD player hooked up to the TV was ridiculously easy!

We are really pleased with our purchase of this Sony 1080 upscaling Hdmi Dvd player.The picture is great and has a quality sound from the unit. The instructions were easy to follow. The only extra thing you will need is a Hdmi cable.

I like the small size and easy setup. There are several functions I haven't used and/or don't understand. Not sure if I'll look at them more closely. The basics are easy so so far I overall happy.
