Mattress won't lay flat
We got this play yard and bassinet for our newborn daughter because we loved the one we used with our son. We can't use this one though because the mattress doesn't lie flat. It has a big bubble in the cover that tents upward in the middle. It causes a 3 or 4in gap between the mattress and the side of the play pen. I waited to write this review because I thought it settle down and lay flat eventually but it hasn't.
On Point Again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So with my first child I purchased a multi function pack'n'play from another company, and it was super cute. I realized later, it was super heavy, not easy to use, took up a ton of space to store or carry in the car and had features that no mom or family will actually use. I'm excited to say that this one is much different. First off, though it is durable, it is light weight and easy to pack and move. We use primarily for travel so this is important. My husband would say this is all that matters :) Set up was easy enough. Currently we have a newborn, so we really enjoyed the bassinet feature. Having this be separate with it's own storage bag is great. At this point, for overnight trips, this is all we need. It also works great just to have as a safe landing spot while traveling, visiting other people and even at home. I highly recommend this very practical, packable pack'n'play with features that actually make sense. It also fits a standard pack n play mattress which is nice. No brand that I've seen has a comfortable mattress for sleeping. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing for providing me with this great pack'n'play. As I've come to expect, another great product from Graco!
Love this play yard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really love this Travel Dome DLX Playard, it has been a huge help in our home! We have a unique home setup with our master bedroom on the first floor and nursery upstairs. Setting this up on the first floor allowed us to have a changing table and bassinet accessible at all times. The neutral gray color works with our decor and set up is super easy. We can't wait to use this in the future outside and while traveling while our baby grows. Thank you Stellar Testing Panel for gifting us this product to review.
Even Better Version of the Pack N Play
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a regular Pack N Play with my first child. Every parent knows they are useful both at home and while traveling. You can use them as a bed, as a play pen, a diaper changing station, and as a place to throw all of the kids toys! Lol. So what did I think of this version of the Pack N Play with the Dome while using it with my second child? I like.... *the portable dome because it was easy to take with me upstairs and outside. it gave a safe place for my child to be when I need both of my hands. * that the portable dome was study. *the bassinet area was larger than I remember my last one being, and it was flat instead of inclined so it was safer for baby. *the cute detailed design. *easy set up and take down. I did not like.... *that the diaper organizer was kind of flimsy and not that useful. It seemed like it was just extra and that it was unnecessary. *that they still don't make a carrying case where you can put ALL of the accessories in. Overall, I think the Dome attachment is a huge positive addition to the Pack N Play system, and the larger, flat bassinet was also a good improvement. A stand alone dome like the attachment on this is expensive, so to get it as part of a Pack N Play system is really a deal. I received this product to review through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
Modern, elegant, Chic, and cozy for baby!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this play yard, there are a lot of new design features that I love. If I had to choose a favorite it, it would be the bassinet. The first feature that I love is that the bassinet sits on a secure locking rim of the pack and play. When you take it apart you squeeze and lift the locking handles of the bassinet. The next feature that I love is how plush and soft the bassinet bottom is that my little one sleeps on. When my babe falls asleep in the bassinet, I can see him from the couch because the bassinet is both raised and made of breathable woven mesh. You can tell that a lot of experts put a lot of thought into the design because right above the baby's eye level there is a band of uv protected fabric to help shield the baby from sun in their eyes while using it outside. The same fabric is above the bassinet like a stroller hood that blocks the sun and has a tiny mobile of toys that dangle from it. The next feature that I love on this is the mommy organizer, which clips on the side of the pack and play. I clipped it next to the diaper changing pad for convenience. I put diapers, wipes, and diaper creams in the pockets. I love bringing the daybed into the kitchen while I am making baby food or the laundry room. Being able to keep a close eye on the baby while letting him play or sleep in the bassinet is crucial with being a single mom. I wish I had this pack and play sooner because my son is tall like his 5'11” mom and probably will outgrow the bassinet around the 7.5 month age mark when he starts crawling. Whenever I take it out of the house, it disassembles and reassembles quickly. Now that the weather is warming up, I have moved it outside with me while I am cleaning the garage out. Thus, the dome goes wherever I go with my baby!! If I had a design suggestion to make this better, it would be a vibration setting to the bassinet. The vibes help my baby calm down when mad or overtired and aide in helping him sleep longer. Additionally, it would be awesome if Graco sold accessories for when the baby is larger, and outgrows the infant bassinet inserts. For instance a sun shade canopy to attach to the top while outside would be awesome. If I had to find a flaw I would say it was very tricky to put together the accessories. In general, Graco Pack and Plays are very durable. I have found that if you take good care of them, they can last 10-15 years. My mom does home daycare and has had some last for 20 years. Since I am a single mom, I am short on extra eyes to watch the little one. Having a pack and play with a bassinet has made my life so much easier simply by being able to bring him with me in it. I foresee that I will be using this for the next 4 years as a safe place to put my son down to play, for a nap, a bed while traveling, and while outdoors. The colors and pattern on the play yard are very soft, modern, elegant and chic. I love how Graco pack and play colors have matured and went from royal blue and bubblegum pinks to soft grey and white. I absolutely hate having kids stuff turn my home into a play house. This blends in with my couch and furniture and is soft on the eyes. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this Graco Dome Deluxe Pack and Play Yard to test and review.
Game Changer
I received this Pack 'n Play thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel and am completely in love! The adorable pattern looks like decor in my home, not like a kiddie product. It is so sturdy as well as being light enough to easily carry for travel. The basinet is so cute as well as extremely cozy and safe. The pockets next to the changing station are genius and convenient. I love that I can have a set up downstairs for changing and napping baby that can come with me from room to room.
Cute and Functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack n play is everything in one! The little bassinet is great to be able to set with me where I need it, whether in the kitchen or the living room. It is much easier to move just that than the entire Pack 'n Play. It is the perfect size for my newborn, and while it is winter where we are at the moment, the canopy would be great if we were outside to shade from the sun. The separate bag for just itself and how it collapses makes it great to take on the go for a nap at grandma's house. The changing table is an added bonus as well, but I do prefer to change my baby on the floor. But it is great that the bassinet both has the mesh sides and is raised to make it easy to pick him up, see him, and keep him off the floor and away from toddlers. Both the changing table and the bassinet click in so nice and secure to the large part. The higher and lower sections for the entire Pack 'n Play is fantastic for the growing baby. It will have far reaches when he grows out of the bassinet but still needs a secure place to play / sleep. I can see us using the item for him as a toddler as a contained play area either in our kitchen or outside. It will be great to have a safe spot for him to be when needed. And it all collapses down in a second and simply enough, which will make it easy to take with us on trips. The colors and cute little stars are simple and clean, and can be used for both a boy and girl which is great. My favorite part is the little stars, it's such a small detail but the baby loves to stare at them above his head! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this playard.
Great features and easy to transport!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] have found this Pack ‘n play so useful. We have used it to take to grandma's, but primarily use it at home. In particular, we have found it helpful to use downstairs as a second crib. Our baby is a little over 2.5 months and we put him in the bassinet daily. It helps that the bassinet is raised so I can see our baby from across the room. Our baby also really enjoys looking up on the hanging star and cloud toys. He's very taken by the stars. As our baby grows and can sit up in his own, I'm looking forward to putting him in the crib part to play we some soft toys. I think it's a safe place to put some toys and let the baby enjoy himself. My favorite feature is how easily I can disconnect the bassinet and move it from room to room. I have to admit though that I had a little difficulty assembling the bassinet at first, but once assembled it was quite easy to use. Overall, this Pack ‘n Play has been a welcome addition to our household of baby products! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this playard.
Perfect from Infant to Toddler
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think one essential for every parent is a playard. The best one you can get is a Graco Pack ‘N Play in my opinion. We were able to try out the Pack ‘N Play Travel Dome LX thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I honestly feel like this is the best set up Graco has. It features the Travel Dome, a changing pad, a bassinet, and still functions as the regular playard. The Travel Dome works as a raised bassinet and attaches to the top and can be used as an infant bassinet that is easy to see into because it is raised up. It also can easily collapse down and be taken with you in the included bag. It offers UV protection if you are going outside, but I found it super helpful to have in the house, too. With a two year old and two large dogs there is no way I can put my infant on the floor, but of course that's where the toddler always wants to play. I can easily take the dome off the playard and move it anywhere so I can see my baby and keep her safe. We do all of our daytime naps and a lot of tummy time in here right now. I love that she can nap in a safe place now and will continue to be able to as she grows. This portable bassinet has been my favorite part so far. I love the height of it when it's mounted on the playard, but also that it's so multipurpose. I use the diaper changing area a lot more than I thought I would. There are handy pockets on the side to keep all of my diaper changing necessities nearby which has been a great help in keeping track of everything I need at changing time. Set up went easily except for the changing pad. The travel dome gave me a little bit of trouble, but it's only because it's such a secure fit. The changing pad does have a right and wrong way it can be assembled and I did it wrong even though I followed the directions. The English warning label needs to be in the center of the Pack ‘N Play. If I had caught this, it would have gone from boxes to fully assembled in about 30 minutes. After the initial set up everything is easy though. Shrinking the Travel Dome down to fit in the bag is just four simple tabs. Installing or removing the full size bassinet takes only a couple of minutes. Even completely closing or resetting the whole playard up can be done in a few minutes. I am sure we will end up taking it camping, on day trips, even when we visit family for a few hours. It's so handy to have a place where my little one can sleep or play and be safe and secure. It will grow with her from the three months she is now until she is close to two years old. Once she outgrows it, we would even be able to use it for diapers and gear storage or to wrangle stuffed animals. I fully believe that every parent should have a Pack ‘N Play and after using this one, I think it should be the Travel Dome LX. It is absolutely amazing.
Great upgrade to a great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this playard. We have been long-time users of a Graco pack & play - we have a three year-old and a 10-week old, and used our previous pack & play extensively with our older child - a pack & play (even a basic one) is a must-have item, I think. However, this new version that includes a portable bassinet is a big upgrade on an already great product!! This version of the product includes a portable bassinet with a huge canopy. You can either use this sitting on top of the pack & play base, or as a standalone product - really great versatility. It provides a flat surface for sleeping, so unlike some previous models which had reclined/cushioned seats, this is a safer option, I think. The bassinet is super easy to move from place to place, so I could use it in multiple rooms of our house, which I love. And it also has a really nice big canopy so I think it would be great to use outside in the warmer weather as well. The main part of the pack & play is the same great quality and ease-of-use I've come to expect from Graco. The changing pad that you can attach to the main playard is great, and it has a parent organiser which is great for storing diapers/wipes etc. if you have it set up for more permanent use. You can also really easily pack down the main playard and use it for travel which is great. I also think that if you have two kids who are on the younger side, you could potentially use both the bassinet and the playard for sleep when travelling. They both pack down small and have their own carry-cases, so if you had an infant and a toddler you could bring both parts and they'd both have somewhere to sleep. My only real complaint about the bassinet is that it is quite small. Our 10week old, who is very large for his age, is already almost too long for it. I know the reason for this is so that the bassinet will fit width-ways across the playard, but it's a shame that we won't get more use out of the bassinet portion. It really is an awesome product.
