We purchased and received the Backyard Discovery Pergola in July 2022. Pergola arrived in 4 boxes, excellent packaging and delivery. We unpacked and preassembled the Pergola to ensure all pieces were shipped prior to actual assembly. The assembly took 2 men and only 5 hours to complete! We love, love the Pergola, very beautiful addition to our back yard.

I purchased this about a month ago. I just love it. I have received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends. The black metal is very classy. I believe it is made well and will give me many years of satisfaction. My only wish is that you could buy shades to mount on the sides.

I'm very happy with my pergola. It looks beautiful on my patio and is just what I hoped for. I was still setting up everything on the patio when the hurricane hit. It's very sturdy and withstood the hurricane winds without any damage. Love it and recommended it to my friends.

We bought this pergola in early June. It arrived several days ahead of schedule with the 4 heavy boxes in perfect condition. We (with help from daughter, son-in-law and 4 grandchildren) assembled the pergola 2 days later. It went together perfectly, with excellent instructions. There were zero issues, took 3 1/2 hours and everyone had fun.

Visiting Sam's Club, I saw a wooden pergola and asked the associate if they came in different materials, colors, and sizes. I was told to look at the pergola section on the website as there was a wide variety. Upon reviewing I was pleasantly surprised and immediately made the purchase. The arrival of the pergola was timely. While I didn't go with the Sam's installation team as the date was too far away, I got another team to install and the outcome exceeded my expectations when the pergola was finished. This is now my new zen space. I absolutely love the pergola and would highly recommend it.

Bought this after much research and debate. Price seemed too good to be true. Item showed up as scheduled and delivery was seamless. Comes in 4 boxes on a pallet which are a little heavy but I was able to slide one off of the other with some effort. Directions are simple and easy to follow. I assembled the unit by myself (with a little help from my wife on some of the awkward parts). Directions said 2 men - 10 hours, I did it in about 24 hours total, over about 4 days due to some family obligations. I differed from the directions in that I assembled all of the components at one time and staged them, rather than assembling them at each stage. This way when I was in full assembly mode, I could just grab the components and put them on. I'm 66 years old, in fair shape and was able to put it together with no issues. Note: They provide all of the tools that you will need.... however, do yourself a favor and get a GOOD T-30 bit for your screwdriver, and a GOOD T-30 allen wrench. The ones that they send won't hold up as there are about 300 screws. Follow the direction and you'll be fine. Make sure that it is anchored securely. Mine is mounted to our composite deck, I drilled through the feet and put a 3/4" plywood plate under the decking, bolted it through the deck and the plate using 5/16" bolts and it's rock solid. Another note: the flat washers are only painted on one side to match the color of the pergola..... get someone to assemble each one correctly (painted side up) ... it's the most tedious part LOL

Love how its bringing everything and everyone together. Directions were simple. Some screws didn't thread correct and for the holes that have the outer ring, I superglued the ring prior to screwing. The first started spinning with the screw so there was no getting it in or taking it out. Hung LED lanterns. More decorations to go but the review is for the pergola :)

We had a lovely grey wood pergola, built in 2005, that needed lots of paint and upkeep and it was finally beginning to rot at the base because we got our share of rain and snow in WA. My husband wanted this steel one and I was afraid the white steel would overwhelm the backyard, but it turned out to be just beautiful and will last forever with no upkeep!!

Bought my pergola a year ago. This will be our second summer with it. It arrived ahead of schedule in 4 boxes. I was surprised at the condition of the boxes coming across country but they were in great shape. All parts were included. We took one day to open the boxes and lay out the pieces. The next day we put it together in about 2 hours! It is gorgeous. And the powder coated steel is great for our Pacific NW climate Won't rot or rust. I love it. And the price was good too. A lot less than the wooden structures I had been look at.

I bought this for a patio in my back yard. I wanted it to be the same height as my roof on my house and shop, so I built concrete columns on which to erect the pergola, covered in stone veneer (see pictures). In the process now of adding a light at each corner (not included in kit) (see pictures). I haven't even pulled the AC power center out of the box yet and probably won't end up using it. Overall, this is an easily assembled kit that really looks quite nice, attested by my neighbors' comments on seeing it.
