The instructions say 2 people and 10 hours but i put it together on my own in 6 hours because the instructions were so easy to follow. i needed the help of my wife for about 20 mins to move the assembled short sides but outside of that it was too easy. love that this app is a thing.

We bought this pergola for our lower level patio last summer. We wanted something to match our new home, and considered getting a cedar pergola since we have cedar trim on the ground level porch that sits above it. We decided on this one because it will be much less maintenance than cedar, and is still a great match to the house. We love it. My husband and I assembled it ourselves. If I am being 100% honest, the instructions were not great. Part of my job was writing instructions, and I would have added a lot more helpful detail that would avoid mistakes and backtracking. Regardless, we still love the pergola.

We bought this pergola because it fit on our current cement slab perfectly. It looks very nice. My 2 sons and myself put it together in 5 hours but it would have gone faster if we did not have to take portions apart to retrieve socket screws that fell inside cross beams. They were a little short and it was hard to hold them in place and drill at the same time. We also noticed a dent in one of the posts when construction was complete. Not sure how we missed that. The shade is too small. It doesn't provide much protection from the sun. We get south and west sun. I would like to order a larger one but couldn't find them on this site.

Couldn't ask for a better product or company. The pergola arrived in a couple of days, communication was great, super easy to assemble with clear instructions and everything fit together as expected. And of course, it's absolutely beautiful. Have had it a few months in intense Chicago weather and so far so good.

We purchased this pergola for our rental home in Vero Beach. There was no backyard entertaining space so we built one. Everything was so well marked and the instructions were very clear. Even with that, we found we messed up on some and had to redo them, mostly the angled bars. We could be more happy with the way it turned out.

Just finished erecting a Hawthorne, 14 x 10 pergola. I have nothing but good comments about this backyard treasure. The instructions provided were excellent, and the BLT app was exceptionally put together and very thorough. The quality of this product is exceptional. I would love to assist someone else in putting up another one as I enjoyed myself immensely.

This is a very well engineered, thought out item. There is no waste in assembling this pergola. The packaging is such that items are snug as a bug on a rug. Assembly instructions are clear and concise, and available with the items as well as via a 3D app. You may download a pdf version, too. Four 100+ lb boxes is thoughtful, as it is manageable for most tandem sets of DIYers to handle. Parts are individually placed in bags. Two tightening tools is all that is needed. A rubber mallet was the only additional piece of equipment other than a ladder that was needed. It was a low-stress one day, 10-hr project.

We bought this pergola last spring when we poured our 26x25 concrete patio for our pool area. It was rather easy to install; looks great; very sturdy. We have added lights, wind chime, rug, fire pit, and 4 chairs underneath of it. We have had so many compliments! Well worth the purchase.

The pergola is a beautiful addition to our backyard. The crew of three that built our deck put it together in a few hours, they said it was the easiest pergola they have built and that it was the only one that they have built that wasn't missing parts and wasn't broken or dented upon arrival. Plenty of room for a sofa, loveseat, chairs, and a fire table. Can't wait to enjoy our outdoor living area this year.

We bought this pergola last year to protect our renovated backyard and new patio furniture from sun and tree debris. It is very solid, looks great and does the job. Construction is tedious with all of the bolts and washers but I was able to do almost all of it myself other than lifting up the vertical supports and getting it into the air.
